Sorry. SORRY. That word is lame as f-ck. “Faceoff.” But I couldn’t quite land on another one. Confrontation seems too serious. Triangle isn’t accurate. And of course it all sucks anyway because this is two girls petty-ing over a guy, a situation in which there can be no winner but… But… Nobody ever complained about a fashion faceoff, right? So we have Selena Gomez Full Story

Dakota Johnson: MET Gala’s Most Confusing

I like Dakota Johnson’s relationship with Gucci because they are doing the “ugly expensive” thing really well right now and it completely suits her vibe. When Dakota wears something “unlikable” (ie: something that will get her on a Worst Dressed list in a celebrity weekly), I feel like she does it on purpose and that she is using fashion to rage against the 50 Shades of Grey expectations. Full Story

Zoe Kravitz has an advantage. Several, actually. First… you can’t get away from the face. Her face, it’s absurd. Like absurdly exquisite. Like intoxicatingly exquisite. Second though, right now, it’s the hair. Full Story

I hesitated on that title. But I couldn’t think of another way to describe what Katie Holmes is doing in this outfit. You know when you try to get away with something?  When you know what you’ve worked on isn’t exactly the answer to the question, but you try to wiggle it around to being it anyway? When you MacGyver a solution to a problem and it’s not quite perfect, but it’s… well, you hope nobody looks too closely? I feel like this is what Katie Holmes Full Story

I’m sorry, I hate to say it. Because of course this is Lupita. And we wait for Lupita, always. But this time, it wasn’t worth it – at least not the dress. She made up for it in another way though and we’ll get to that in a minute. Full Story

METLeisure: Riley Keough

Do you want to know a terrible secret about me? I’m one of those people who likes to buy leggings and athleisure wear, but I don’t go to the gym enough to justify the purchases. I am basically the worst. I don’t always wear it everywhere, which would at least mean it got use covering my nudity, but I like to browse the fancy websites and shop for overpriced leggings and then go into cardiac arrest when I find out I’d have to pay for shipping from Australia. Full Story

Stella McCartney always has a huge presence at the MET Gala. She’s there as a designer, of course, but beyond that, Stella is exactly Anna’s kind of person (famous parents, British, wealthy). Full Story
