Armie Hammer and his wife Elizabeth Chambers stepped out this weekend for the LACMA 50th anniversary gala. My first thought when I saw these pictures: “Oh yeah, Armie Hammer.” He was supposed to be a thing, wasn’t he? He was supposed to be on the verge of a big career. Full Story

Jared Leto and the cast of the Suicide Squad have been in Toronto a few weeks now. It’s finally warmer in Toronto. The day I left it was gorgeous. And I heard it was a great weekend. Which is when these shots were taken of Jared and his friends hanging out Saturday afternoon. It’s bright. Full Story

The Royals 1.6: Ted returns, remains terrible at everything

Sarah Posted by Sarah at April 20, 2015 18:41:54 April 20, 2015 18:41:54

The Royals Season 1, Episode 6 recap Ophelia’s father, Ted, returns this week. He’s the head of security and he sucks at his job so much that I can do this entire recap as a list enumerating all the ways in which he sucks at his job. We’ll start with Simon’s solo nighttime prowl and I’ll reiterate again that Prudence the murderous maid is being victimized by Cyrus into stalking the king. Full Story

Tom Hardy in Child 44

Child 44, the so-called thriller starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, and Gary Oldman, is a spectacular mess (and it’s tanking). Like Serena earlier this year, it features a lot of talent and yet the result is completely lacking. Full Story

The happy, hilarious Clooneys

George Clooney was at work again this past weekend on Money Monster in New York. And Amal came to visit again. And something must have been really funny because there were big laughs and, as you can see from George’s various facial expressions, they’re still honeymooning because I don’t think he’s ever found a woman so interesting. Full Story

Jurassic World: Redeeming with dinosaurs

We’re getting a slew of new trailers lately because everyone is debuting the stuff that will be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron. That movie is tracking like a monster (I had a hilarious conversation last week with a box office money guy about the potential ceiling for Marvel and whether or not Monopoly money will become legal tender when Disney has the rest of the world’s currency in their Scrooge McDuck vault), so everyone wants to get their trailers attached, putting their projects in front of what will probably be the biggest cinema audience in history—at least until New New Star Wars opens in December. Full Story

My Obsession is travelling. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron UK premiere is tomorrow at Westfield. I’m in London right now. This is not on the agenda for Tuesday night though. Am planning on touring Windsor Castle instead, then staying home with Lorella because she hasn’t seen the first movie and we can’t see the second movie until she does her homework. Full Story

Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot is flying under the radar, as far as superhero movies go. This one has the least amount of hype and pre-release attention focused on it, and I can’t help but think that’s a good thing: With expectations low, even a mediocre result will feel like a win. Full Story
