Pitch Perfect, which was on my list of Top 10 movies of 2012 was on last night. Jacek’s never seen it. So we watched together after I promised that even though it follows a formula, it’s smart and funny and, well, everything else on television was all kinds of sh-tty. Sometimes you just need a sing-along.
I have heard what the talkers were talking, the talk of the beginning and the end;
But I do not talk of the beginning or the end.
There was never any more inception than there is now,
Nor any more youth or age than there is now;
And will never be any more perfection than there is now,
Nor any more heaven or hell than there is now.
-Song of Myself, Walt Whitman

There’s a move that Jude Law makes at the end of The Holiday, and the only way I can describe it is with the word “shimmy”, which is a word I hate, but that’s what he does, he “shimmies” up to Cameron Diaz, and …it kinda works. It helps that he’s wearing a great suit and he’s lit beautifully and he’s just so f-cking handsome, but mostly it’s the way he’s moving his body. Full Story
For those of you who’ve been asking whether or not Jacek liked Pitch Perfect – like I said, I have to convince him to watch it. When it ended, he loved it. He was all over the Elizabeth Banks/John Michael Higgins colour commentary. He laughed at all of Rebel Wilson’s jokes. He agreed that it was a clever interpretation of the Formula. Full Story

Keith Urban stopped by the set of The Family Fang today in New York to visit Nicole Kidman. The two were seen walking around holding hands. The Family Fang, as you know, is based on the book of the same name by Kevin Wilson. I was excited about the prospect of Nicole playing Camille. Turns out she’s playing daughter Annie. Full Story
For some reason, we’ve been told to believe that Ashton Kutcher is some kind of tech expert. They send him new phones and he tests out apps and he played Steve Jobs and accumulated a lot of followers on Twitter and this is supposed to mean that he’s digital and original and smart, smart enough to sniff out the next, smart enough to be able to see a trend before it becomes one, smart enough to be more than just some douchebag who throws money at sh-t. You know when you buy a makeup palette at the drugstore it usually comes in a 3 kit and all the colours are complementary? The Giver red carpet last night made me think of that. Katie Holmes, Taylor Swift, and Odeya Rush all dressed to coordinate. And even the step-and-repeat reflects it. Does Katie’s dress remind you of a dancer’s? Following that train of thought… Katie dancing. Full Story
This is why celebrities are not “just like us”, no matter how often they try to sell that to you. Because check out Jennifer Lopez on her way to a business meeting yesterday. Do you like her romper? I f-cking LOVE this romper. I love the colour. I love the blousy-ness of it. I love those zippers. Full Story
