Garrett Hedlund was so handsome last night at Critics’ Choice. He, of course, was with Team Unbroken and presented with Michelle Monaghan. I always, always, always wonder when Angelina’s talking to him whether or not she looks at him and sees a young Brad Pitt. Robb Stark, Richard Madden, soon to be Prince Charming in Cinderella was photographed out for a walk in New York the other day in a really nice pea coat. Full Story

It’s Kate Moss’s birthday today. She’s 41 years old. Here she is leaving her home in London today as photographers and other media sang Happy Birthday to her. She looked delighted. See? The paps aren’t always bad. You know, on anyone else I’d see the black hose and those shoes and be disgusted. Full Story

It’s an utterly meaningless Critics’ Choice Award, but still! Jenny Slate is awesome and she was awesome in Obvious Child and she won Best Actress in a Comedy for Obvious Child, so that’s awesome. She’s so pretty and I love her voice so much I just want to make out with her. Full Story

The NBA was in the UK last night. The Milwaukee Bucks played the New York Knicks. Even though the Royal Foundation has a partnership with the league, Prince Harry already met with Carmelo Anthony the day before – click here to revisit those pictures – so I guess that was enough to satisfy the royal involvement…? Maybe he just likes watching darts Full Story

Diane Kruger is a fancy plate

Diane Kruger attended the dumpster fire also known as the Critics’ Choice Awards and she wore this dress that looks like a fancy plate. It’s by Naeem Khan and while the styling is nothing special, I would really like to know what the name of this pattern is so that I can order some teacups. Full Story

What was unspoken at the Critics’ Choice Awards

Could you sense it? You could sense it, right? There was an unspoken discomfort agitating underneath the Critics’ Choice Awards last night. Jessica Chastain, when accepting the first ever MVP Award, was the one who came closest to addressing it. She encouraged her peers to speak up about the lack of diversity… But it’s not like she came out and openly criticised what was missing from the Oscar nominations that morning, Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday. Full Story

Reese Witherspoon, American Citizen, attended the sh*tshow that is the Critics’ Choice Awards last night and she looked totally done with everything from the very beginning. Host Michael Strahan did a bit with her in the first ten minutes of the show and I thought she was going to spit poison at him like a venomous cobra. Full Story

Julianne forgets Marion

Julianne Moore won Best Actress last night at Critics’ Choice. During her acceptance speech, she listed off the others in her category: Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Felicity Jones, Rosamund Pike… but not Marion Cotillard. Don’t hold it against her. Instead, see it as a result of what we’ve all been assaulted with over the last couple of months: Jennifer Aniston’s Oscar campaigning. Full Story

Michael Keaton somehow won twice

I don’t understand why Birdman keeps getting categorized as a comedy. It’s weird and has its funny moments, but it’s not a comedy. And yet at the Golden Globes and the Critics’ Choice Awards it was classified as a comedy. I’m fine with splitting drama and comedy categories for award purposes, but if that’s going to happen then can you please nominate actual comedies and not dramas that have some humorous dialogue? It defeats the purpose of the split categories if all you’re doing is ignoring actual comedies in order to sneak in more dramatic nominees. Full Story

God it’s been a great week. We started at the Globes. Gwyneth was at the Globes. And then she stayed with us through the week, continuing to give us gold on Howard Stern and last night on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. What makes Gwyneth so great for gossip is that she will play. Full Story
