Portrait session for The Monuments Men yesterday. George Clooney put a political message on under a leather jacket. But he’s been overshadowed. By Cate Blanchett? No. Not even Cate Blanchett. Bill Murray. Please enjoy his pink pants. It’s award season and George Clooney’s in a film – Gravity – that is in contention for Best Picture. Full Story

Alright, alright, alright… It’s not really a song. But everyone seems to be singing it. And wanting to hear it. And we heard it last night when he won Best Drama Actor at Critics’ Choice, presented by Jessica Chastain, who threw out an “alright, alright, alright” when she opened the envelope and announced his name. Full Story

Jay-Z and Jake Gyllenhaal met up for lunch yesterday. The paps are calling it a “meeting”. But these two have been friends for a while. It’s not the first time they’ve hung out. Unfortunately Beyonce and the B.I.C. were not with them. They had their own plans in the city. Blue joined her mother at work and was seen being carried out of an office building late in the day. Full Story

If I were a young actor, male or female, between 20 and 30, I’d be looking for a hookup with Adele Exarchopoulos. She won the Best Newcomer – or whatever they call it – Award at Critics’ Choice last night and from the moment she started walking, I was in love. It’s not just the accent. Full Story

Well hello there, Robb Stark. Only he’s not Robb Stark. It’s Richard Madden on Good Morning America today promoting his new show Klondike (on Discovery) with Abbie Cornish. Here he is at the premiere last night too. Why is he giving me a major case of the 80s? Why is he giving me a major case of the Rick Astleys? Not that I don’t love the 80s. Full Story

Hated Sandra Bullock’s dress last night at the Critics’ Choice Awards. The colour was fine. The ruffle-tiering, however, is 10 years old. Go into any Midnight Elegance, Apparel For Any Occasion shoppe at your local mall and you’ll find a dress like this. I don’t give a sh-t if it’s Lanvin. Full Story

The most insane commercial I’ve ever seen is the Folgers “Christmas incest” ad. I love that commercial, and I never thought anything could top its accidental comedy gold, until I saw the teaser for Tom Hiddleston’s Jaguar commercial, which will air during the Super Bowl. Full Story

Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep were pretty tight last night at the Critics’ Choice Awards. They were on the carpet together, they sat together, they hugged several times, and for the most part, on those occasions, Julia held down The Julia, because even Julia knows that Julia < Meryl Streep. Full Story

Jonah Hill, 2X Oscar nominee and friend of Marty, Leo, and Brange, was nominated for his 2nd Oscar yesterday. Then he got to sit with Marty and Leo at the Critics’ Choice Awards and Leo even namechecked him in his speech! Best day ever! This is why Jonah Hill, 2X Oscar nominee and friend of Marty, Leo, and Brange, doesn’t want to be funny in interviews Full Story

Cate Blanchett’s date last night was her son Roman who brought a deck of cards with him to the event – a kid I could totally roll with. At one point, Cate took him over to meet Sandra Bullock. Was a pretty cute moment. She seemed overjoyed when Sir Ben Kingsley called out her name, more because it was an excuse to hug her oldest than it was for winning. Full Story
