If George Clooney is the classic Movie Star, male, what does that make Julia Roberts? This is something we CANNOT fight about. I know you wouldn’t fight me on this – the fact that she is a proper Movie Star, one of the biggest, and, always, one of the best. Best can be annoying. Best can make you roll your eyes. Full Story

Movie Star George Clooney gives a Movie Star interview

God how refreshing. A movie star who isn’t embarrassed about being a Movie Star. Who knows he’s a Movie Star and doesn’t pretend like he doesn’t want to be, or shouldn’t be, or hates to be. No protests here from George Clooney, just like he didn’t protest last week during the Writers Roundtable for The Hollywood Reporter. Full Story

Homeland Season 3 Episode 7 recap So now we know. This was the whole plan. Get Javani to the US, under Saul’s control,  send him back as a double agent working for the US. The only problem was the vicious bloodshed and incidental implication of Quinn as random CIA-type murderer. Oops. Full Story

Cressida Bonas studied dance. Her dream was to be a dancer. But now, according to UK royal gossips, she’s working as a PA at a London office because it would be unbecoming for Prince Harry’s future wife to have “dancer” on her bio. It’s OK that she went to school for it. Full Story

The Royal Family was out yesterday to observe Remembrance Sunday. The Queen led the way, and Prince William laid a wreath (we’ll get to Harry later), while his wife, the Princess Catherine, watched from a balcony above with the Countess of Wessex. That is a beautiful coat, and I wish we could see more of it. Full Story

There was a lot riding on the box office of Thor: The Dark World, namely that Marvel/Disney spent something like $300 million to make and market the movie, and it serves as a more realistic gauge for what the “Avengers bounce” is really going to be. Nothing in the Marvel universe is close to what Iron Man is, as a franchise, except for the Avengers movies themselves. Full Story

The Walking Dead 4.5: “Not everyone gets to live”

The Walking Dead Season 4, Episode 5 recap After last week’s very good episode, being stuck in the prison this episode feels a little stagnant and less interesting, but a slow start builds up to a great climax as the threats inside and outside the prison coalesce at the same moment. I’m not sure of the exact timeline of this episode, but I’m assuming it’s happening concurrently with Rick & Co. Full Story

This is what you do. But on stage? Sure. If you’re Miley Cyrus. I mean, OF COURSE. After all, she’s following in a long tradition of artists who aim to shock and hijack. This, for years and years and years, was Madonna’s blonde ambition. It’s only controversial if you’re talking about it, right? No matter who else is there, the conversation always ends up about the ONE person who was there. Full Story

Dear Gossips,

So now that we're well into November, have you started watching it yet?

What?

Every year, starting on November 1, I break out the Love Actually. Did you know that Love Actually is now 10 years old?

Oh f-ck, wank, bugger, sh-tting, ass, head, and hole!

Happy Birthday, Love Actually!

In celebration of the anniversary, the cast shared memories from the shoot and their thoughts on the impact that the film has had in the decade since its release. Click here to read it. Best way to spend a Friday morning. To me, Andrew Lincoln will always, before anything else, be the guy who was in love with Keira Knightley, tearing his hair out to Dido. I’m totally going as Billy Mack for Halloween next year.

Have a great weekend!

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
