Slicked back and gangster

Brad Pitt continued to shoot Cogan’s Trade yesterday in New Orleans. And while I can’t say that’s my preferred hairstyle for him – of course not – I also at the same time think he looks pretty good. What? Yeah I hear you. You think I have a soft blind for him. Maybe. But the thing with Brad Pitt for me is that even when he’s trying, he doesn’t look like he’s trying. Full Story

Photo Assumption the kid with the side-eye

This photo cracks me up. Many of you email consistently asking for more Jon Stewart. He’s on your Five Lists. Totally down with that. Stewart’s not papped very often though. Much as you love him, Jon doesn’t sell. And unless he does something wicked and crazy – not likely – he’s not going to land on the cover of a tabloid magazine. Full Story

Hot in Brazil

I’m the kind of perv that when I see a hot couple, I automatically want to see them having sex. Like, I want to be there live when it happens. Too much? But when they’re really, really goodlooking, like cut from Zeus goodlooking, it’s almost biological isn’t it? Programmed into our DNA? No? Fine then. Full Story

Oscar Tense: Colin Firth

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 28, 2011 13:14:02 February 28, 2011 13:14:02

He looked tight last night. The most tense I’ve ever seen him. Because he knew he was going to win. And I suppose it’s a lot worse knowing you’re SUPPOSED to win and anything else would be a huge upset and wondering about the possibility of the huge upset and having to wait for several hours before finding out – that would suck. Full Story

Men

Cincinnati you lucky, lucky bitches. Enjoy this while it lasts. Here are George Clooney and Ryan Gosling shooting Ides of March yesterday. As always, George is loose and affable on set. And word is the two get on quite well. Apparently G likes to call Full Story

Grammys Best Leather: Eminem

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 14, 2011 11:27:05 February 14, 2011 11:27:05

Something about all the leather jackets he’s been wearing right? On tour, on SNL, at the Grammys – this one looks almost blue. He looked good. He sounded good. Lorella, who hates him, and I’ll spare her her equivalent here, sent over a note this morning about why he always looks so crusty. Full Story

Grammy Bald: Rihanna

Well she must have been under there, non? Trust me, I was looking, I was examining. And I don’t even think that’s a pervy thing to say. A dress like that only invites it. And that kind of, um, scrutiny only spawns other discussions, which is how Sasha and I, during the liveblog, started talking about Ri’s asshole. Full Story

BAFTA King: Colin Firth

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 14, 2011 01:37:11 February 14, 2011 01:37:11

Well who else would it be? He was the Best Actor. His costars were the Best Supporting Actors. His film was the Best Film. Colin Firth went home and they called her Your Majesty. Also, I just tried to spell that with a “G” and got told off by spellcheck and for that I blame Madonna. But I digress. Full Story

Ryan, George, and Jazz

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 11, 2011 12:45:26 February 11, 2011 12:45:26

Oh lucky you Cincinnati. George Clooney is making his movie there. On Wednesday he hit up the Blue Wisp Jazz Club with his parents, Ryan Gosling, Evan Rachel Wood, and a few others to hear the Big Band play. It wasn’t a terribly busy night. George bought drinks, he was friendly with the musicians, and he and Ryan were chill with the civilians, chatting with a group of students who had come there as part of their class. Full Story
