Grammys Best Leather: Eminem

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 14, 2011 11:27:05 February 14, 2011 11:27:05

Something about all the leather jackets he’s been wearing right? On tour, on SNL, at the Grammys – this one looks almost blue. He looked good. He sounded good. Lorella, who hates him, and I’ll spare her her equivalent here, sent over a note this morning about why he always looks so crusty. Full Story

Grammy Bald: Rihanna

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 14, 2011 10:16:17 February 14, 2011 10:16:17

Well she must have been under there, non? Trust me, I was looking, I was examining. And I don’t even think that’s a pervy thing to say. A dress like that only invites it. And that kind of, um, scrutiny only spawns other discussions, which is how Sasha and I, during the liveblog, started talking about Ri’s asshole. Full Story

BAFTA King: Colin Firth

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 14, 2011 01:37:11 February 14, 2011 01:37:11

Well who else would it be? He was the Best Actor. His costars were the Best Supporting Actors. His film was the Best Film. Colin Firth went home and they called her Your Majesty. Also, I just tried to spell that with a “G” and got told off by spellcheck and for that I blame Madonna. But I digress. Full Story

Ryan, George, and Jazz

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 11, 2011 12:45:26 February 11, 2011 12:45:26

Oh lucky you Cincinnati. George Clooney is making his movie there. On Wednesday he hit up the Blue Wisp Jazz Club with his parents, Ryan Gosling, Evan Rachel Wood, and a few others to hear the Big Band play. It wasn’t a terribly busy night. George bought drinks, he was friendly with the musicians, and he and Ryan were chill with the civilians, chatting with a group of students who had come there as part of their class. Full Story

Excuse for more James

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 11, 2011 07:22:13 February 11, 2011 07:22:13

I posted a fake X-Men First Class trailer yesterday. But that only means there’s an excuse to write about him again today with the proper trailer and more photos. James was interviewed on This Morning yesterday in support of Gnomeo & Juliet. I like it when it’s spelled with a single T. Full Story

Jon Hamm and buttholes

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 11, 2011 06:47:06 February 11, 2011 06:47:06

It is my pleasure to open this Friday with a post about Jon Hamm and anuses. I assure you this is the plural for “anus” because, as you will see, he discovers that himself. (Thanks to Lisa/Ann for sending along the link!) Hamm supported his friend Jon Glaser at Glaser’s book release party the other day. Full Story

X-Men First Class first trailer!

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 10, 2011 11:16:00 February 10, 2011 11:16:00

Update: apparently this is a fake trailer. The real one comes out at noon PT. But James still looks fine? Sorry! But I'm still gloating about Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher. Thanks to Amanda for sending a link to a non-Facebooky trailer, the first, for X-Men First Class. I’m not a comic geek so I leave it to you to discuss and debate the merits of whether or not justice has been served, at least in terms of faithfulness to the series. Full Story

James vs Justin & Jennifer

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 10, 2011 09:17:56 February 10, 2011 09:17:56

It’s a curious box office this weekend. Will be interested to see how much tween cash money Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never can pull in compared to Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s Just Go With It. Never Say Never is actually getting some good reviews. I’m telling you. Just Go With It meanwhile, as expected, has received some early hate from critics. Full Story

Eminem > Adrien Brody

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 7, 2011 07:58:22 February 7, 2011 07:58:22

Take a look at these photos of Adrien Brody at various Super Bowl related parties and events this weekend (the double douching with Diddy is my personal favourite) and try to explain why Stella Artois would book him for the all-important Super Bowl ad. Is this the Stella clientele? Leather suit wearing cheesedicks with soul patches and fake castles Full Story

Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 1, 2011 08:26:00 February 1, 2011 08:26:00

Burberry sent out a press release on Sunday night, announcing a list of celebrities wearing their brand at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Among them: Andrew Garfield, Douglas Booth, Geoffrey Rush, Michael Pitt, Shea Whigham, Ed Helms, and… Tom Hardy. This was just after the red carpet had wrapped. Full Story

The British Invasion continues

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 31, 2011 12:07:57 January 31, 2011 12:07:57

Written by Sarah The top-of-the-heap guys, Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliffe, are British. The up-and-comers, Andrew Garfield and Alex Pettyfer, are British. The next-one-coming, Eddie Redmayne, is British. And now Warner Brothers has announced their new Superman, and guess what? He’s British. Full Story
