About three years ago during an interview:
"My whole thing is that that I saw 'The Dark Knight'. I feel like I'm dumb because I feel like I don't get how many things that are so smart. It's like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I'm like, 'That's not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.' I loved 'The Prestige' but didn't understand 'The Dark Knight'. Didn't get it, still can't tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I'm like, 'I get it. This is so high brow and so f--king smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.' You know what? F-ck DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from. You know, you're never too old to burn your bridges because I believe I have offended everyone," he says, laughingly. "I think I've got a couple more. 'I'll burn that bridge when I come to it' is my favourite phrase I've ever coined."
I mean, obviously I don’t agree with him, but at the same time, I appreciate how amusingly cheerleadery he can be when it comes to his own sh-t. We’re so conditioned to them being fake-gracious all the time, it’s hilarious when someone as ...loquacious, how about that?... as he is goes off on a biased rant.
So here he is, throwing his weight behind his Avenger brother Chris Evans who, I’m sorry, can we just agree forever that he is NOT HOT AT ALL, for many reasons, not the least is his mouth which doesn’t seem to stretch all the way out when he smiles and this is fine on a regular person, and I don’t want to be mean but you keep telling me he’s some kind of superhero quiver explosion when all I see is a pale clammy face and son, you do not have the steeze to wear yellow tinted glasses, oh my God!
Sorry, I digress.
The point is that RDJ is a Marvel Man and Chris Hemsworth too, as part of the franchise, but... Hawkeye, how about Hawkeye?
Jeremy Renner plays Hawkeye and he was in town too, only he decided to hit up the Miu Miu party at a private estate in Beverly Hills because, wrobertell, I think it’s because there were more girls at that event. This will likely prompt a talking-to from Nick Fury and Iron Man himself. I hate the expression, but I wouldn’t mind hearing Robert Downey Jr saying “Bros before hos”.
