Sasha Posted by Sasha at April 7, 2014 16:08:37 April 7, 2014 16:08:37

Hi Sasha, I ended an emotionally abusive relationship last year, It's been a few months since all of this has occurred, and I'm not back in the dating game. I don't even want to be close to it. Part of me feels this pressure to get out there and get looking because I'm in my late 20s, but I'm also just fine being single for a long while because I haven't been. Full Article

Sasha Answers: What to do about my mother

Sasha Posted by Sasha at April 1, 2014 18:44:43 April 1, 2014 18:44:43

Dear Sasha, My mother has always been dramatic. She grew up in an unsupportive, emotionally and physically abusive household until she was 19. She’s also been prone to abusive outbursts all of her life. During the first outburst I can remember, she hurled my toys at me screaming about how ungrateful I was. Full Article

Hi Sasha, I recently threw a gathering where I invited all of my different groups of friends. One of my best girlfriends, who doesn't really know any of my other friends that well, got "really drunk" and did something I am pretty embarrassed by; she went down on a guy in the bathroom during the party and everyone knows. Full Article

Sasha Answers: Birthday Drama

Sasha Posted by Sasha at March 25, 2014 18:37:28 March 25, 2014 18:37:28

My 35th birthday is coming up about a month from now. I don’t have much in the way of family and friends to celebrate with (we are new to the city we live in), so I haven’t made any plans yet. In fact, I hadn’t really thought about it until today. I’m not sure what I want to do this year, but the reason it was brought to my attention today is that I just received an email invitation to attend my sister's boyfriend’s surprise birthday party next month (they live in the same city as us, but have been here for a few years longer and are much more outgoing and social than my husband and me). Full Article

Hi Sasha, I have been happily married for almost 18 years – of course with all the usual ups and downs. My husband (let’s call him 'B') and I have been together for over 25 years.  B travels quite a bit for work. Prior to me, B had only one really serious girlfriend in his late teens (let’s call her 'G'). Full Article

Dear Sasha, On paper, my life is amazing. I have an incredible job, the career I've wanted since I was 16. I own my condo, I have smart, intelligent friends and family who push me to be better, I live in a city I love and I'm madly in love. The problem: the man I'm madly in love with just moved here to be with me and he hates this city and is all around miserable. Full Article

I have a problem. I recently moved to a new city to work at a new job (yay!). I am living downtown and commuting to the suburbs. It is a 45 minute drive but the job is great so I don't mind.  We hired a new employee to work on my project. He also lives downtown and commutes but doesn't have a car or drivers licence. Full Article

Hi Sasha, My husband and I have been together 12 years in all. Married for the last 4 years. It hasn't always been perfect but I truly love him.
