Hayley nominates: Sasha’s Lost and Found

Sasha Posted by Sasha at March 8, 2017 21:03:39 March 8, 2017 21:03:39

In Hayley’s words: I want to nominate Sasha and her post about her new venture Lost and Found Apothecary. Sasha took one of the most difficult times in her life and morphed it into something beautiful which should inspire all of us women to never give up, to take hard times and learn from them and to keep fighting for our dreams. Full Story

Rachel’s Hat

Any idea where Rachel McAdams got her hat in today's post of her at the airport? Love love love! Thank you! MDid I tell you the time I lunched with Rachel McAdams?  And by ‘lunched’ I mean sat one foot away from her? Whatever, same thing.  I was with my friend Dean last month and instead of getting some dirt street meat we decided to go somewhere with utensils. Full Story

Wing-Horn.

Sasha, Help! I must have Goop's wing pendant necklace - I like how long it is and how thick the chain is, as well as the size of the actual wing. It's probably out of my price-range (does Goop do cheap?) but I'd like to find it anyway. Please help!  I'm talking about the long bronze-looking one, not the short silver. Full Story

I just watched Adele's "Someone Like You" video, and have fallen in love with what little pieces of her jacket that I saw.  If you could track down the jacket - and while I'm at it, some similarly stylish winter coats for us curvy girls - I'd appreciate it!-MI heart Adele, she's the f-cking best. Full Story

Crushing on an ex’s best friend

Sasha Posted by Sasha at October 12, 2011 18:45:37 October 12, 2011 18:45:37

Dear Sasha, The place I currently work at is pretty small, there's less than twenty employees here and everybody's really close. I will admit though that one of the main reasons why I really like this job is because of D. D works in the same area I do and we both generally tend to work the same hours so we've gotten to be pretty close over the last couple of months. Full Story

Friends after sex

Sasha Posted by Sasha at October 11, 2011 18:17:58 October 11, 2011 18:17:58

I met a guy in grad school two years ago. Long story short, we became neighbourhood drinking buddies who talked about work and bounce off research ideas/frustrations to each other. At that time, we were also in long distance relationships and would bitch to each other how much they sucked. There was some initial attraction but eventually, as we talked shop more and the friendship grew, it faded. Full Story

Listen To Gwyneth

Dear Sasha, I met a guy who travels in the same circles as me, and we clicked immediately. We had wonderful conversations, great chemistry, and everything happened very fast but very organically.  BUT.  I knew he had just gotten out of an 8 year relationship (we're in our late 20s), so I told him I didn't expect a relationship right away and I tried to keep things at a moderate pace. Full Story

Styling the science guy

Sasha Posted by Sasha at October 7, 2011 17:44:24 October 7, 2011 17:44:24

My son is in his last year at UBC.  Spends tons of time on the B line and running around campus and could use a great rain jacket.  He is classing up his wardrobe but doesn't like thingstoo fussy.  I suggested a Goretex from MEC but he wasn't into that.  Do you have some options that aren't too fashion forward for a science guy. Full Story

Scarf Season

Sasha Posted by Sasha at October 6, 2011 19:29:02 October 6, 2011 19:29:02

Hi Sasha Fall weather has arrived in Vancouver which means scarf season is upon us. I'm totally into the style of the woven slightly "coarser" long and wide scarf as seen here. My problem is I just can't get behind colors (looking for more earth tones) and sorry. Full Story

(Lainey: starting the week after next, Sasha’s advice and style columns will be posted directly to the LifeStyle page. And I’ll remind you of it every day until then! By popular request, we’re breaking down each letter into its own post to allow for more photos and for quicker reference later on.) Hi Sasha, I've been searching high and low for a sweater-coat for fall. Full Story

Big shoes, leggings, winter boots

Sasha Posted by Sasha at September 29, 2011 21:39:14 September 29, 2011 21:39:14

I need a size 41 shoe and where can I find a good shoe selection online? I live in Regina, the only one or two independent shoe stores here don't sell beyond size 10 and I am tired of Aldo and Feet First. I'm pretty fashion forward, like nice things, but at Winners or the Shoe Company their larger size shoe section looks like my Great Aunt's closet (and I check Winners at least once a week). Full Story
