The Christmas party season is here and you probably are thinking I am going to tell you how to keep fit and stay healthy throughout the holidays.  Well, I’ve already done that and if you missed it you can read it here.  What I want to share with you is how to keep your feet happy as you prance yourself around from party to party between now and New Years Eve.

You see, I live in running shoes and in my world anything with a heel foreshadows a night ending in pain and I wish we didn’t need to walk around in shoes that make our feet bleed.

But not only do painful, high heeled shoes make you miserable by the end of the night, they actually can seriously damage your feet, causing everything from ingrown toe nails, to heel pain, to shorten calf muscles to arthritis.  Now I understand that sometimes a flat and comfortable shoe is not an option but surely there must be a better solution than having to Botox your foot to make your 4 inch heel wearable. Yes, people actually do this.

Here is my solution and I know they are not the sexiest of shoes but I get a lot of compliments on them, and I’ve worn them with my dresses, my skirts and my skinnies.  These booties are made by New Balance, which you all know I am a huge fan of, and they are so comfortable that I can actually last an entire evening of dancing with my girlfriends and I wake up pain free.

I know they do not replace a sexy, strappy high heeled shoe but they are a great “go to” when you want to make it to the end of the night without having to limp or get out for a run the next morning without having to run through lingering pains from the night before.
