I had this realization the other day while out running in the trails and it made me think. I was coming up on a long set of stairs and I started to talk myself out of running them, convincing myself that it was ok to walk them to the top. Which is what I did. Then when I got to the top I started running again and this made me ask myself: Why am I taking it easy when things get hard and then pushing myself when it is easy? I am never going to become stronger if this pattern continues. Full Article

I'm writing on my iPhone in complete frustration after trying to exercise. To simply train for a 5km that everyone and their brother and friend's granny can do but for some reason, I just can't seem to train successfully. Hi Hayley, I am confused. When it comes to diet/lifestyle, I know not every diet is for everyone. I know for some, paleo is the way to go, for some it's vegan or gluten free, and for others it's just simply a balanced and clean diet. It does get confusing, with so many conflicting theories and "facts" that you try to take in, when trying to make the right choices for yourself. Full Article

Hey Hayley, I think a lot of fitness articles and gurus don't realize that some people like their round curvaceous hips, though they have now accepted ample bums. Last July I got back into the gym, and it was tough going, but while I haven't lost all the extra weight I feel so much better. Dear Hayley, I just saw a photo of myself and realized that I need to lose 30lbs. It was a rude awakening. Since turning 30 a few years ago, the extra weight has crept on so slowly that I haven't even really noticed.
