Lately I have been focusing a lot on my own wellness. I have been doing yoga, I started meditating, and I am slowing down and taking some time to cook for myself (although I have a nicely packaged box of prepped food arrive weekly at my doorstep). Here’s my secret: I hate cooking and everything that goes along with it. I hate planning meals and nothing gives me more anxiety then grocery shopping. I feel like a child who has lost their mother every time I walk into a grocery store and I can never seem to get out of there fast enough. Hi Hayley! I just had my second baby two months ago and it was a bit of a rough delivery. My little one came out at lightning speed-less than two hours flat from start to finish, kind of like the extreme sports version of labor- and though I did Kegel exercises throughout my pregnancy, my baby's quick entrance into the world did some major damage to my pelvic floor. Full Article

There seemed to be a common theme last week amongst the incredible people I am surrounded by.  Some are in the middle of making a career change, some are trying to start a family, some are working hard to lose weight and some are trying to get their finances on track but all are feeling like what they are trying to accomplish was not happening fast enough. Full Article

Whether you were watching the Oscars with your besties at an Oscar party, or sitting at home alone (moi) and watching it while trying to prep for the week, we can all agree that A LOT went into making those celebrities as beautiful as they were and it was not just stunning gowns, tuxedos, jewellery and shoes. Full Article

Exercising can be intimidating, especially these days when many group classes seem to be more about a popularity contest then a workout. I recently experienced a workout where I was forced to have to sit at the back of the class because I was new and I had to earn my way to the front. Seems a bit counterintuitive if you ask me. Full Article

I was teaching a class the other day and we were doing a set with a paper plate and an exercise band and I said to them, “See! This is all you need for a good workout. Something stretchy and something that glides”.  Then one of the participants said, “Yeah, and you to tell us what to do!” I get it, creating fun and easy ways to work out has been my life for the last 10 years which means it comes easy to me. Full Article

Hi Hayley, You've helped me in the past to focus on health over the scale, strength over skinny-ness, etc. (you also gave me hooked on Coola sunscreen, the best thing ever) But I recently reached my pre-baby weight after having 3 kids in 5 years (nothing drastic that I can't maintain, as you advise) and now that I'm done focusing on weight and dress size and body fat ratios, I'm trying to decide what health pursuits are legit and which are a waste of time. Full Article
