Hi Hayley, My husband and I have been disagreeing about something lately. Our kids have been perma-sick since December and we keep catching what they have. My husband feels like he needs to push through his sickness and continue working out (he's worried about losing momentum), I on the other hand feel like exercising while sick will just make it worse (obviously it depends on the degree of sickness, in this case we both have colds, sore throats, little energy). Full Article

Hey Hayley, I really want to try a cleanse but have no idea where to start or which one to do. Are they safe? I work out pretty frequently and play competitive hockey, do I stop doing that while on a cleanse? I had meant to do one after the New Year, but had a tournament and didn't want to risk it. Full Article

Hi Hayley! I urgently need your help. I am heading to visit my family Argentina and I desperately need to get in bikini weather. I'm 29 years old, 5'6" and 135 lbs. So here's the catch, I do not want to lose weight while I tone up (I lose my shape and start to look like Marc Anthony). Full Article

Mindless eating – we are all guilty of it.  Whether it is the scoop of peanut butter you eat before closing the lid, the chocolate you eat in your office lunchroom, the French fries you steal off of your boyfriend’s plate while out for dinner or the handful of tortilla chips you munch on while making your family dinner, it is this mindless eating that will add pounds to your body and prevent you from reaching your weight loss goals. Full Article

Hi Hayley I am 5'2 160 pounds. In the last 4 years I gained 30 pounds and the last 10 were gained around my honeymoon and now we have recently found out I am pregnant! We are really excited about the baby but also feeling anxious about the weight gain that is to follow. Do you have any recommendations on keeping fit as I can't go back to any of my old routines which only consisted of exercise videos. Full Article

Smelly workout wear – we all have it but unfortunately we do not realize that it smells until we are already at the gym, sweating on the treadmill and the cute guy beside you gives you a “is that you” look.  Or when you inconspicuously sniff your top and nearly fall off the treadmill in embarrassment you realize that yes, it is you who is causing everyone else grief from the odors seeping from your gym attire. Full Article

I am a 40-year-old working mother of 3, and I prioritize my fitness. My routine for years has been 4-5 workouts each week, maxing out at 75-90% PRE. I run (outdoors or treadmill); weight train; Cybex; or mix in an Insanity workout (I completed that program in 2011) if I can't leave the house. I watch my diet and feel very healthy. Full Article

According to a 2012 study completed by the Public Health Agency of Canada only two thirds of young people in Canada with a healthy weight feel that their body is the right size, meaning one out of every three of our healthy Canadian youth believe that they are either too thin or too fat. And at every grade level, except for grade 6, more girls than boys are doing something to lose weight. Full Article

Hi Hayley, I have always had weight problems...always! I was a cubby kid, then a bookworm/spaz teenager. I am not athletic, although I have an athletic job (archaeologist). A year ago, I was in the field and lost 30 pounds. Then, I came back and am doing the boring stuff, analysis and writing, and have gained it all back! I hate it! The only time I have ever been able to lose weight and keep it off for a significant amount of time is when I was training for a marathon and went to the gym every day. Full Article

The Globes – we were all watching them last night and we are all talking about them and reading about them today. Who won what, who wore what, who said what and who did who are common conversations in coffee shops and at the office today. I like to watch the Globes for many reasons but I am always interested in how the celebrities look, not in regards to their dress, hair and makeup but rather how their bodies look in their dresses. Full Article

Hi Hayley, I have a question about rest days. I have a VERY, VERY sedentary office job and I can work out pretty much every day without feeling fatigued. I switch it up quite often during the week, anything from snowboarding to hot yoga to running to spin class to weight lifting. I don't feel like I'm overdoing it, besides the boarding my workouts last only about an hour. Full Article
