I was excited to get a Magic Bullet blender for Christmas. I'd like to use it to make some healthy smoothies or shakes. I'm not looking to do a cleanse or go on a liquid diet, but I thought this would be a good way to incorporate more veggies, especially spinach, into my diet. A lot of the recipes I've seen are fairly heavy on fruits, which I've read can just fill you up with sugar. Full Article

Hi Hayley,  My question for you is, how can I start to eat "cleanly" without getting so hungry that I lose my way? I have young children who are reasonable eaters and a husband who eats anything. I feel great when I eat well and want it to be the way we generally eat. Where on earth do I begin? Jo ___ You are not alone in your request to eat better for 2016 as it seems to be common question over the last couple of days. Full Article

My number one, and most important, Fitness Takeaway for 2015 is: Mental Health Mental health is just as, if not more, important than our physical health. I was very open a few months back about my own struggles and battles with mental health (click here for a refresher), and I was overwhelmed by how many of you took time to share your own personal battles with depression and anxiety. Full Article

The second to last Fitness Takeaway for 2015 is: Set Goals and Make a Plan Because you can’t have one without the other, and without either you will lack direction going forward. Spend these last few days of 2015 reflecting on your year, things you are proud of and things you wish you would have done better. Full Article

Number 3 on my list of the Top 10 Fitness Takeaways for 2015 is: Forget the Past and Look to the Future. We need to stop trying to be someone we used to be and instead grow into something we want to become.  If you are a new mom and your goal is to get your pre baby body back you need to appreciate the body you now have, a body that nurtured a single cell until it grew into a beautiful baby and a body that continues to care for and nurture what was once a part of you. Full Article

Number 4 on my Top 10 Fitness Takeaways for 2015 is: You will NEVER find time so you must MAKE time.  We all only have 24 hours in each day to accomplish what needs to be accomplished, and as good as our intentions can be to fit in a workout or prepare a healthy meal, healthy tasks are commonly pushed aside. Full Article

For number 5 on my top 10 takeaways of 2015 I am going to tell you how to make the most of your workouts, regardless of the amount of time you have to get it done: Be prepared.  Make sure your workout gear is ready to go the night before and have your post workout snack prepared, alongside your water bottle and towel. Full Article

Number 6 on my list of Top 10 Fitness Takeaways of 2015 is: You need to keep upping the challenge. In my experience one of the main reasons why people stop exercising is because they have become bored with what they are currently doing. They are no longer feeling excited or challenged and it becomes easier, each day, to not give their all in a workout or to simply skip it. Full Article

Number 7 on my list of 2015 Fitness Takeaways is: Invest in some cute workout clothes, especially a pair of hot, wild tights.  It seems so simple, but investing in a few pieces of workout clothing that make you feel good will absolutely improve your workouts. Just think about it: you are going to go squat and lunge and plank and run and burpee and sweat in a room that is full of mirrors. Full Article
