Smutty Fitness: Body Types
The Globes – we were all watching them last night and we are all talking about them and reading about them today. Who won what, who wore what, who said what and who did who are common conversations in coffee shops and at the office today. I like to watch the Globes for many reasons but I am always interested in how the celebrities look, not in regards to their dress, hair and makeup but rather how their bodies look in their dresses. Smutty Fitness: Rest Days
Hi Hayley, I have a question about rest days. I have a VERY, VERY sedentary office job and I can work out pretty much every day without feeling fatigued. I switch it up quite often during the week, anything from snowboarding to hot yoga to running to spin class to weight lifting. I don't feel like I'm overdoing it, besides the boarding my workouts last only about an hour. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: Watch & Panties
Hi Hayley, I am an avid runner, recently minted trainer and I'm looking to buy some new gear. My beloved Nike running watch finally bit the dust after 8 years and I am in desperate need of another. However, I can't seem to find a watch that has an intervals function on it that isn't extremely expensive. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: working out at Little Billy’s hockey practice
Last night I watched my cousin play hockey across the street from my apartment and any chance I get to watch my cousins play sports I jump at. As soon as I walked in I noticed a woman running up and down the stairs, working her way through six laps around the arena. When she was finished I went over and asked her to tell me about her workout. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: Cold Weather Running
I'm a fairly active 30 year old - I do yoga a few times a week plus hit the gym about twice per week. I've been contemplating signing up for a half-marathon, but don't think I can quite stomach outdoor winter running to train for it. I know I could wait for a fall run to train during the summer, but I have previously signed up for, and not completed, the half-marathon that is held annually in May here in Toronto, so I'd like that to be my goal (plus, I think it would be a great way to get in shape for the summer!). Smutty Fitness: A sports bra for the small-busted
This is for all of us small-busted girls out there who feel like wearing a sports bra is like wearing a tensor bandage around our ribcage and that they do nothing for us but create one small uniboob (which is even more depressing for those of us who are single and need all the help we can get when trying to talk to the cute guy working out beside us…right?). Smutty Fitness: Goals and working backwards
Hi! I am back from a week of holiday over-indulging with friends and loved ones and like most of you I am 2 days into my “resolutions”. We all make resolutions each year and correct me if I am wrong but 3 weeks into the New Year we find our new routines quickly forgotten and have all resorted back to our old habits. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: Holiday Cocktail Calories
Tis the season for holiday cheer but come January all of those liquid calories you consume will probably be found hanging over the sides of your jeans. I would never say do not drink over the holidays but just be wise on what you choose. Here are the calorie contents in a few classic holiday cocktails as well as what it will take to burn that drink off. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: Help for mom
I'm writing on behalf of my mom, because I know she'd never work up the courage to write herself. :) I was wondering if you had any recommendations for an older (over 60) woman who wants to start working out? She has a few health issues - type 2 diabetes and hypertension - and that's part of the problem. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: Holiday Choices
Miguel/ FameFlynet
It is mid Christmas season and like me, I am sure you are a few Christmas parties into the season with many more to go before it is all said and done. Are you starting to feel the Christmas cheer fill up the waistband of your skinny jeans? Don’t fret! It could simply be water retention from eating all the sodium rich foods that surround us through the holidays as well as dehydration from a few too many holiday cocktails. Full Article
Smutty Fitness: Pull-ups
KAMINSKI /Splash News
Hi Hayley I tried barefoot water skiing in the summer and I wasn't quite able to get up, but I was close! I was doing it off a boom hanging from a water ski boat so training wheels style. I know I need more upper body strength and I think being able to pull up my own body weight would help but I don't know how to progress to pull ups and chin ups. Full Article

Smutty Fitness: Don’t rush recovery
Hi Hayley, I am hoping you can help. I recently had laparoscopic surgery to remove my right ovary. All is well and good and my recovery is going as planned. However, here is the problem. I am to do no physical activity, particularly core work for 4-6 weeks. Ugh. I am 32 and a very active person who works out daily for between 30-50 minutes. Full Article
