This may seem like something that someone who is training for a running event may not need to worry about but all too often beginner runners will gain weight while training for their first half marathon or other running distance.  You might be thinking that someone who is running 3 or 4 days a week plus cross training would find it hard to keep weight on but this is a common problem. Full Article

Hi Hayley - My husband and I are parents to a 14 month-old. We both work long hours, but try to be home to spend time with our daughter before she goes to sleep at 7:30. We often eat after 8:00 and all we want to do is watch TV and go to bed. On the weekends we'll go for long walks with our toddler, but that doesn't shed the pounds. Full Article

Hi Hayley.  This weekend I completed my 5th Underwear Affair 10k race in Vancouver and for the first time ever I came in under an hour (under 57 minutes to be exact, 13 minutes faster than last year!).  I wasn’t actively trying to go faster than last year; somehow it just worked out that way. Full Article

Hi Hayley, I recently found out I am pregnant (yay).  I like to exercise including running and weight lifting.  I know my workouts need to change but I’m not sure exactly how.  I was hoping you could share some exercises that were safe for me and my baby. Hi Hayley, This winter I really got into running, and am now training to run my first half marathon in October! I’ve been running three times a week steadily over the winter and spring, and am now able to run up to 14k on my long runs. Hi Hayley, What sort of fitness routine would you suggest for someone who has weak joints (due to hyper flexibility)? I'm relatively fit, but I've stopped running because my knees and ankles hurt too much from it, and I've haven't been lifting significantly because of back, wrist, and shoulder injuries. Full Article
