July 6, 2011 – Smutty Shout-Outs
Step Into Action!
Dr Riley Senft is running across Canada to raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer research. He’s been running since May 7th starting in Cape Spear, NL. Over $150,000 has been raised so far while Riley’s been running across the country educating men and their families on the Fingers of Truth about Prostate Cancer.
"One in six Canadian men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and this more than doubles if you have a family history of the disease." says Senft. "I lost a Grandfather to Prostate Cancer and have stood by my father as he has bravely faced it twice in the last five years. My message is simple - With a 90% success rate when caught early, the Steps to Action can save your life."
To celebrate Riley's July 6 arrival in Toronto, a fundraiser has been organized for 7:30pm at The Bedford Academy Pub (36 Prince Arthur Avenue). July 7-8 will be spent conducting research at local hospitals and meeting with Toronto media. Saturday July 9 at 8:30am residents of the GTA will join Riley at 1 Queens Quay West, to show their support and run alongside him for 5km along the lakeshore, before he continues North for his daily 50km.
