September 15, 2010 – Smutty Shout-Outs
Congratulations Kim on SFU and a return to Vancouver! While you prepare for your masters program, please enjoy Jon Hamm last night at the Boston premiere of The Town. Sigh. As for your request re: Marcus – have I shown you his glamour shots?
Happy Birthday Nancy G with love from Darlene who admires your courage and tenacity and wanted you to celebrate with some David Beckham.
To Jen – Happy 31st Birthday! No need to soften the blow. You’ll LOVE the decade. Viggo would want you to.
To Alison Syme – Congratulations on the publication of your first book, described to me by Holger as “queer flowers and gynaecological torture devices and that sort of thing” which is pretty much the best description ever. Sold!
And for CJ on your 26th – Val wanted me to post a little love in the form of Jackson Rathbone. Here he is at TIFF. Those Twi-Hards kept shouting “Jasper!” at him outside the Intercontinental on Bloor the other day. Anyway, I interviewed him at a party on Monday night and found him gracious and articulate and passionate about the film (Girlfriend) and the cause (it was a charity event). However, because I know you, I will say that there’s a height challenge here. Not as short as Sam Worthington and Ryan Phillippe, but short enough to know that you would hate it. Have the best day!
