The Hollywood Chairman speaks. Clooney makes it clear that Amy Pascal has his support. So a new batch of emails from the Sony Hack now involve Denzel Washington. It’s a message from an unnamed producer to Michael Lynton, Chair & CEO. According to Radar, the producer writes that it’s bad business to keep casting Denzel Washington in movies because international audiences don’t want to watch black actors. Full Story

Gawker continues to analyse all the information coming out of the Sony hack, in particular Amy Pascal’s emails with and between Angelina Jolie and Scott Rudin. It’s a lot of back and forth over several months. I’ll post the link below for you to go through it piece by piece but, basically, even after Rudin called her “minimally talented” and “spoiled” in February, he and Pascal continued to engage Angelina about the Cleopatra movie. Full Story

The Sony Hack took a turn for the dangerous earlier this week when the hackers released a statement threatening violence should people go see the movie when it was to open on Christmas day. Following the threat, Sony said it would allow theater owners to back out of booking deals and not show the movie, if they should so choose. Full Story

Fallout from the Sony Hack continues, and it’s no surprise that the news is bad. The people at Sony would probably love it if just once a released cache of data revealed email exchanges about funniest cat videos. What was the bigger blow to Angelina Jolie last week? The Sony email leaks or the fact that she didn’t get nominated for a Golden Globe when Jennifer Aniston did? Just some perspective now on the Sony emails – we all know now what Scott Rudin thinks of her and that even though he claimed he’d have no problem telling her to f-ck off over Cleopatra himself, he kinda tried to bully Amy Pascal into doing it for him. Full Story

At this point, it shouldn’t be surprising that the leaked emails from Sony have taken a turn for the worse. They started bad, so it wasn’t like the bar was all that high to begin with. The newest wave of leaked emails from the Sony Hack, dutifully combed through by Gawker, reveals a conversation between Sony co-chiefs Michael Lynton and Amy Pascal, and Clint Culpepper, head of Sony subsidy studio Screen Gems. The email is about Kevin Hart, who has a multi-picture deal with Screen Gems, and in it, Culpeper says, “I’m not saying he’s a whore, but he’s a whore. Full Story
