Sponsored Tingles: skinnygrape’s SKINNY on Juno Temple
My trainer Hayley is always on me about calories in alcohol, especially when I’m working towards an event. When I do want to drink it means I have to extend the cardio. Leading up to TIFF now, I will not let myself have a cocktail unless I’ve been for a gruelling run. They’ve had lite beer for years. But what about a lite drink for those who don’t like beer?
skinnygrape wine launched in Canada this past May. At only 80 calories per five ounce serving, skinnygrape lets you drink up without feeling like you’re going to bloat and balloon. You could say then that there’s a new gorgeous, skinny neighbour on the block. Except you can’t hate her because she’s warm and modest and loyal and wants to be a good friend.
More on the wines below. Oh…and an amazing contest too. Girl trip?
To celebrate skinnygrape’s Canadian launch, we’re going to be running a series of advertorial features profiling the new Hollywood actresses on the verge of breaking out. Some are arguably already there, while others are just starting their ascent but have mega star potential.
To kick things off, we’ll start with Juno Temple because I’ve been holding on to this for a while now - that she’s dating Kristen Stewart’s ex-boyfriend Michael Angarano; you’ll recall, Stewart left Angarano for Robert Pattinson. Last year Temple was on and off with that loser Emile Hirsch. Now I’m told she and Angarano are really, really intense, super into each other.
Temple has been “on the verge” for a while now. Two Sundances ago she was supposed to be the emerging star...until Elizabeth Olsen came along and eclipsed her. But she has worked, steadily, steadily, steadily, steadily. And now she’s working on Maleficent with none other than Angelina Jolie. Will it ever be “her time”? Now I can’t disassociate that expression from Ryan Lochte who... didn’t exactly live up to the “time”.

Now about this contest!
It’s “You, Me and the SKINNY on Hollywood”! skinnygrape will put you and a BFF on a plane, fly you to Toronto OR Vancouver (whichever you prefer), and put you up in a swanky hotel for two nights. Then it’s time to give you the skinny on the world of Smut as we enjoy a wine tasting over dinner and chat it up.
Contest runs today through September 16, 2012. The entry form, full contest details and links to rules/eligibility are here. Limit one entry per person per day, but you can enter every day until the contest end date if you like. And I want you, hardcore gossips, to enter often!! Good luck!!
At only 80 calories per five ounce serving, skinnygrape allows Canadians to have their wine and drink it too! Available in Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, skinnygrape is produced by Roundpetal Wines, for Andrew Peller Limited. No chemical enhancements were made to achieve the 80 calories per serving in the wine. This is because the cooler climates where the grapes are grown result in lower sugar content at harvest; lower sugar at harvest results in lower alcohol percentages after fermentation, which results in fewer calories. Cooler climates, like Ontario and Northern Italy, where the grapes for skinnygrape are grown, provide the perfect setting for cultivating full flavour wines that have 80 calories per five ounce serving. Both styles pair beautifully with your favourite foods and make a great indulgence.
