TV Smut Articles
Winter is here… with Child White Walkers. OMG, Game Of Thrones, I thought #9 was when the crazy sh-t usually goes down…?! So how did you sleep last night? Because I went to bed reminiscing about how Joffrey seems so mild now compared to the juvenile delinquent members of the Dead Army. Sarah’s recap is coming up first.
While some of us – many of us – were desperately hoping for dragons and direwolves to show up, the Drama Awards and the Critics’ Choice Television Awards happened last night. Silicon Valley and Transparent (have you started watching this yet? WHY NOT???) were honoured. Amy Schumer was honoured. Bessie was honoured. And The Americans. At no point were Big Bang Theory or Modern Family honoured. So, basically, this is not the Emmys.
Speaking of Amy Schumer, she wasn’t at the TV Awards because she was busy collecting her Peabody Award over in New York and kissing Tina Fey. Photos from the events will be posted on the main page and on LifeStyle.

So Fox is following on the heels of NBC and staging a live musical this winter. Yes, they’re copycats, and yes, it’s going to be worse than the NBC ones. Because they’re staging Grease, the most pandering, obvious, ‘musicals 101’ of shows ever. It’s the one you got bored of by the time you were in third grade. Full Story

Taraji P Henson was named Best Actress in a Drama Series last night at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards. As you know, Empire was arguably the most successful series premiere of the season. And the critics have been quick to honour new talent and creativity – they were the first (and few) to recognise Tatiana Maslany’s work in Orphan Black. Full Story
Archie Panjabi attended the San Andreas premiere in Hollywood yesterday. And instead of just walking the red carpet, she did stop for interviews. Here’s how this sh-t usually works – if the celebrity doesn’t want to answer certain questions about certain topics, the publicist will give you a warning. Full Story
Tonight is David Letterman’s last show as a late night host. All week he’s had special guests—including Eddie Vedder who performed a rendition of “Better Man” with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra that made me teary-eyed—and last night Bill Murray sat in as Letterman’s last interview guest. So The Good Wife, right? In case you didn’t know: the Alicia and Kalinda characters, played by Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi, used to be friends. Viewers loved the friendship, not least because it was nice to see women at work who were friends instead of rivals. Then the characters had a fight. Full Story

Lee Daniels, Taraji P Henson, Gabourey Sidibe, and Jussie Smollett represented Empire yesterday at the FOX Upfronts. And, bonus, Terrence Howard wasn’t there to ruin the pictures. The big question was how many episodes. Empire’s first season had 12 episodes. Next? 18 split in 2 half seasons. Full Story

If you’re worried that your Mad Men withdrawal is going to get kind of ugly and desperate, now is the time to catch up on Masters Of Sex. It’s period, it’s a delicious show with lots of drama and yelling and sex and nudity, and it moves through time like a freight train. And apparently, Josh Charles’s character is going to have a ‘complicated’ relationship with Michael Sheen’s Masters and Lizzy Caplan’s Johnson. Full Story
I know that I always start articles all “go watch this then come back”. And I also know that sometimes there’s just not time. I do it too. Sometimes I just read the article about the thing instead of watching the thing. But if you don’t watch this episode of Amy Schumer, you will have missed out on a seminal moment in entertainment. If you were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, seriously, would you want to be on Fuller House? Everyone was talking yesterday about how John Stamos put them on blast for claiming to not know about the new show when they really did know about the new show and just didn’t want to come right out and say it but, come on, as Duana wrote last week (click here for a refresher), WHY would Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who are currently finalising what they’re wearing to the MET Gala, ever revisit Michelle Tanner?
These two are practically public mutes. Read Full Intro

I don’t know how to fill in the rest of that title. Because I don’t want to be yelled at. At the same time, I feel like you’re probably not going to be able to avoid it today so if you’re yelling at me, you’re probably yelling at everyone. About the spoiler… Is it really a spoiler? Is it still a spoiler? Grey’s Anatomy. Full Story
