Lainey Posted by Lainey at February 12, 2010 09:54:44 February 12, 2010 09:54:44

"In entertainment people either represent youth, power, or sexuality. Then there's me, carrying normalcy.” – Tina Fey in the new Vogue. Word. Anna Wintour finally picked a winner, following the selection of Jessica Biel last month. It’s one of the best example of women in showbiz. Full Story

Tina Fey > Victoria Beckham

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 26, 2010 11:21:39 January 26, 2010 11:21:39

Another month, another defeat... Anna Wintour continues to shun Victoria Beckham. But this time, unlike Shelfy last time, it’s an inspired choice. Tina Fey will grace the cover of March Vogue. Fist pumps! All however is not lost. Even though she’s yet to land US Vogue, Posh will be represented in Glamour. Full Story

SAG Capable: Meryl & Tina

Lainey Posted by Lainey at January 25, 2010 05:25:50 January 25, 2010 05:25:50

Meryl Streep in Balenciaga – love. Tina Fey in Ferragamo – not my favourite. It’s the shine, it gives lumps when there are no lumps. But who cares? These are CAPABLE women. Thinking women. Women who don’t stress about the aesthetic but who will still matter when the aesthetic is no more. Full Story

Stop showing me your thighs

I am a fickle bitch. Ordinarily this is not a particularly positive attribute but it can be quite useful when it comes to objects of fantasy. The whole point of a Freebie 5 is what happens with the unattainable quiver. They can’t unattainable quiver if they suck sh-t. Laura, my friend with the Robert Pattinson problem, is always pointing this out about me. Full Story

Meryl + Tina

Major fangirl crushing. Last night in New York at the premiere of Meryl’s latest It’s Complicated, Tina showed up to support her co-star Alec Baldwin, of course, but there’s no doubt a lot of respect for La Streep too. After all, aside from her obvious CAPABILITIES, Meryl Streep, now 60, has had a run of box office dominance that’s been remarkable, especially considering this is an industry that ordinarily favours and celebrates youth above all. Full Story

Tina Tonight

Lainey Posted by Lainey at October 15, 2009 08:28:02 October 15, 2009 08:28:02

You ready? 30 Rock is back. Tonight. Tina was at Letterman last night to promote the season premiere, charming and adorable as usual. But not as popular as she should be. I’m sure you’ve heard about the Forbes List? The top earners on prime time TV? Tyra Banks came in 1st. Tina Fey came in 7th. Full Story

Tina ain’t no Granny

Tina Fey on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. A much more worthy beauty ideal than so many others. Most others. Including Granny Freeze Nicole Kidman. Speaking of Nicole Kidman, in the magazine, Tina discusses Botox Full Story

Emmy Hamm & Bacon

These men are fine. And they are men. They are not boys. They are not pipsqueaks whose voices break car windows when they try to shout, which is what happened when Justin Timberlake attempted it with Ryan Seacrest during the preshow. Jon Hamm and Kevin Bacon last night at the Emmys. Particularly enjoyed Jon presenting with Tina Fey. Full Story

Thank You, Sarah Palin!

Lainey Posted by Lainey at September 14, 2009 14:13:45 September 14, 2009 14:13:45

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards were handed out on Saturday night, and Tina Fey won for her portrayal of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live. She looks great, but I’m not too crazy about her suit. Dynasty called and they want their shoulder pads back. I’m sure she’ll turn up the glamour this upcoming Saturday at the Emmy awards. Full Story

Liz, Jack, and Snoopy

Now here’s a woman who hasn’t invited Ebola Hilton onto her show for a guest appearance. Tina Fey once called Ebola a “piece of sh-t”. Tina is everything to be admired and respected in a woman in entertainment. If Tina Fey publicly called that disease a piece of sh-t, it IS a piece of sh-t. Full Story

Tina leads, FNL ignored, and the Pip!

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 16, 2009 07:23:48 July 16, 2009 07:23:48

Emmy Awards were announced this morning and once again, Friday Night Lights was totally overlooked. What will it take??? Simon Baker? In The Mentalist? He’s hot. But please. And enough of Grey’s Anatomy in the Supporting Categories. The show sucks. By the way, True Blood was ignored too. Full Story
