John Mayer has a new album coming out. It’s called The Search For Everything. And it’s his return to, as he calls it, “blockbuster” music. Basically he says he was on a self-imposed exile from big pop because he hated himself after being a douchebag so he went off and wrote non-commercial music for a while and now he’s ready to come back to being a major pop force. Full Story

Ava DuVernay has been working on A Wrinkle In Time. The film’s budget is at least $100 million making her the first black woman to direct a movie of that size. She posted on Instagram the other day that principle photography is now complete and now they’re in post:   Moving out of my trailer on set and into the edit bay. That’s what he was reading when he spoke to Esquire for their new issue to promote the upcoming Gifted – The Surrender Experiment. Have you read it? It was a book people were talking about a couple of years ago, in short about letting life lead you. I got through half of it. And then I started reading Shonda Rhimes’s Year Of Yes which, at least for me, because we all interpret differently, was more resonant. Full Story
