Christian Bale walked the carpet yesterday in London at the European premiere of The Dark Knight, hot as ever, but with a little more gravitas than usual. Initially thought perhaps he was tired of the dog and pony show, given his penchant for extreme privacy... turns out something more sinister may be at play. Full Story

Tonight is the NYC premiere of The Dark Knight. Bonus Bale photos – Christian and his wife Sibi walking around the city surrounded by fans and photographers. It is a very rare sighting. Just got back from a screening of The Dark Knight (IMAX). Will not bother reviewing it since you can read any number of reviews about Heath Ledger’s brilliance anywhere on the web with one quick click. Just see it. That’s all. Focusing instead on commentary that film critics are too high brow to note. Full Story
Entertainment Weekly’s latest issue features Batman and the Joker and an inside look at the making of the Dark Knight, including director and co-star commentary on the late Heath Ledger in what could very well be only the 2nd performance to earn a posthumous Oscar. Beyond Ledger’s performance though, everything else about the movie rocks too. Full Story
Vegas is all about ShoWest right now and Warners is hauling out the talent in preparation for summer blockbuster season with stars from Speed Racer, the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, and of course The Dark Knight all on hand last night to pre-promote their projects. It seemed like an odd choice at first – especially since T3 was a total bust – that Christian Bale would turn to superhero family flicks instead of staying with the intensity that has defined his career. Everyone is waiting for I’m Not There, the Bob Dylan biopic directed by Todd Haynes (Far From Heaven) with several high profile actors “interpreting” the legend at various points of his life. The film is so highly anticipated because it is the first project of its kind to have Dylan’s blessing and promises to reveal information never before made public about his personal and professional trials and tribulations. Again, I’m sure Eric Bana will do an adequate, even a fine job, in the film adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife. But like so many of you who feel so strongly about the book, Eric just isn’t quite my Henry DeTamble in the mind’s eye. Once upon a time, before the nanny, before the tears, before the homewrecking and the hell, I was a little bit in love with Sienna Miller. Pure gorgessity in Alfie, natural and light and definitely skank-free, Sienna was the 'it'… Sienna would be a star.
