Oscar-nominated delusions

You’ve heard by now about the exclusive interview Lindsay Lohan granted E! She let the crack talk the entire time. How else can you explain it?

As you’d expect, Lilo blames you, me, everyone else for her career failures. Of course. Because Dina Lohan didn’t teach her about accountability, despite Lindsay’s insistence that her parents encouraged good values:

With everything that's gone on with my family, my parents still taught us how to have tact, class, respect for others and how to follow our dreams and never change who we are for anyone or anything. No. 1 is perfect, and perfect is impossible. You have to make mistakes to learn so that you can grow up and live your life the right way. Things happen, and you have to move on, be strong and believe in yourself. It would be really nice if people would believe in me.

Boo hoo.

Tell that to the struggling artists who don’t have the luxury of walking around with Gucci bags and shopping everyday.

You can read the entire article here. Nothing we haven’t gone over again and again again.

Two points to note though:

The first – things are so sh-t with her right now that she is actually admitting to the fact that she can’t get a job:

If people would just leave my personal life alone—because it's really not that interesting—then I could land a great role.

You know Lilo must be scraping the bottom, clutching at the edge, clawing at sand if she’s acknowledging that acting isn’t even an option anymore. The shame. To think once she used to be at the top of the list.

Before you go and feel sorry for her, hold that sympathy in check until you understand her motivation. And this in essence is what Lindsay Lohan is all about:

I'd like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies/shows/videos, design clothes, make music, write books, etc. It's all possible if people would just stop judging me and accusing me and making me out to be this aloof, spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional person that I am not and could never be.

Everything is about Oscar. She wants to win an Oscar before 30 – snort! – and she wants to be a part of Oscar-nominated films…

Right. Because this is exactly how Cate Blanchett became Cate Blanchett.

Lindsay doesn’t care about the acting, what she cares about is the winning. And this is why she is losing.

PS. Aloof? Does she know the meaning of aloof? Who has ever described Lindsay Lohan as aloof? How can you say you love writing when you can barely READ?

Attached – Lindsay and Samantha heading out yesterday. More and more these days, Sam is wearing a ShameFace. Not unlike what John Mayer used to look like when he’d get papped with Jessica Simpson.
