Ellen Page Gossip

MTV True: Ellen Page

Am biased when it comes to Ellen Page. Ellen, to me, rarely goes wrong. At the risk of sounding corny, if you’re not trying to be someone else, how can you go wrong? This is Ellen. In jeans and a leather jacket and an interesting torn up shirt with sneakers. It’s a hot f&cking outfit. Full Story

The Spirit of Canada

Ellen Page, baby! Ellen Page took home the Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, Diablo Cody won for screenplay, and Juno was named Best Feature and there continues to be a buzz in Hollywood - some say it’s the same buzz felt two years ago when Crash surprised everyone, upsetting Brokeback Mountain for Best Picture at the Oscars. Anna Loves Drew

Drew Barrymore has scored yet another Vogue cover. And why not? Drew sells well. Anna Wintour loves Drew Barrymore. So here it is – here’s the latest Drew looking lovely on the March issue. Dewy, fresh faced…and even a little frozen? But in a good way, non? In a “she will never age for us” kinda way which is almost reassuring: that the last 25 years seem so much softer mirrored back in her face. Full Story

Best Overkill: Chandra Wilson

Chandra Wilson - one of the few bright lights on Grey’s Anatomy holding a sh*t ass show together in gold and striped and so adorable – great actors can play dress up and still be taken seriously, see? Ellen Page could stand to learn from Chandra Wilson, non? And above all, she looks like she’s having a great time. Full Story

The Nominee at Nobu

A Canadian among the best actresses… now this, Canada, this is what we should celebrate. Instead of that skankbag Pamela Anderson. It’s sad though, isn’t it? That more Canadians have seen Pammy fellate Tommy than have seen Juno? For those who have seen Juno however I’m sure by now you are more than a little in love with Ellen Page. Full Story

Marion’s Double Gold

Big weekend for Marion Cotillard. First, the LA Film Critics named her Best Actress, then the Hollywood Foreign Press Association did the same in the Musical/Comedy category making an Oscar nomination a foregone conclusion. Apparently Marion’s win over Ellen Page was considered an upset. Not that Juno wasn’t incredible and not that Ellen isn’t super incredible…but really??? Was it really an upset? Has anyone seen La Vie en Rose? Oh wait. Full Story

SAGs to be the Oscars?

The Writer’s Guild will be picketing the Golden Globes this year and if a resolution is not hammered out by then, few – if any – actors will be crossing the line to attend the awards. The Screen Actors Guild however just announced their nominees today. Given that the SAG has long been supportive of the WGA, it was no surprise when it was revealed that it had reached an interim agreement with the WGA allowing writer’s to write for the event and opening the door for nominees to gussy themselves up and make a splash on the red carpet…which means that if a deal isn’t reached within weeks of the new year, the SAGs just might be the only awards excitement of the season. Taupe No Bangs

Much better, non? Much less matronly, much more sassy and sexy too, though not too much so as to intimidate the MiniVan… for Taupe Jennifer Garner, it’s a perfect look. Love the bedhead and her toned arms, cute dress, and the “Simple” leather Louboutin – I have a pair in nude, they are the best nude heels on the market. Full Story
