Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix comes out on DVD this week in the UK and on December 11th everywhere else – very cool special features. I even cried during the 43 minute behind the scenes documentary when they talk about how love saves Harry. Sob. To promote the DVD release, journalists were invited to interview members of the cast – who are now working on the Half Blood Prince – on the set of the new film. Full Story

So the new LAX opening in Vegas at the end of August will be hosted by Britney Spears. LAX investors include Nick Lachey, Wilmer Valderrama, and none other than Christina Aguilera. Which means Britney is now working for those once considered her peers.
Shame.

OK Potter fans…you were at the midnight showing, right? It was brilliant, non?
No doubt Potter will win the box office this weekend, although there’s a revolting man in drag who will take on JK Rowling a week later. Harry or Hairspray? My money on Magic.
As for Nicole Richie…not expected in court today although her lawyer is supposedly considering a plea bargain from the DA which could mean no jailtime. Drugged and driving on the wrong side of a freeway and free as a bird.
Weak.

My summer girl… my Chelsea in London partying at Mahiki. Well of course she was partying at Mahiki – she’s 21 and Mahiki only works for 23 and under. Big boobs, skinny legs, blonde and tan…like Pam Anderson but super rich. An heiress. With connections good enough for a Hot Harry on a Horse and bred to be able to swallow his royal indiscretions… Love. Full Story
It was supposed to be Sienna Miller’s greatest achievement and she gave it her all, supposedly going so deep into character as Edie Sedgwick that she also picked up, for a time anyway, all of her tragic vices. This version, the uncut, unrated one is not what was released in theatres. Closer to the original script, it features more scenes with Hayden Christensen, is much more well rounded, and of course still includes that very provocative, rather explicit sex clip with Hayden that was purported to have been actual intercourse. You know it’s a slow week when every frickin’ detail of Eva Longoria’s pre-wedding prep has been documented with meticulous attention.
Am headed to Calgary for one day on Sunday shooting for eTalk. Hopefully will be able to enjoy some Stampede festivities and perhaps pop in to the infamous Cowboys? Where Hot Harry on a Horse dabbled in some Canadian low classy? Would love to do a shot of tequila off a set of fake tits purchased for staff by the establishment’s generous owners. Word is, during Stampede, the girls who work it the hardest can earn up to ten grand a night. A NIGHT??? I scoffed at first but I suppose preying on the horny and rich can be a lucrative business.

In the new issue of Hello Canada, several photos not widely circulated from the Concert for Diana last Sunday. For the first time in a long time, I actually find William attractive. Even his dorky dancing. Some say he was only goofing around – whatever he was doing, he looked like he was having a good time, genuinely enjoying himself, not constipated and boring…not quite quiverating, certainly not even close to the Hotness on Horse, but not entirely unsexy either. Emma Watson at the London premiere of OoTP this afternoon. Cute blue cocktail, very age appropriate and she doesn’t look like a proper skank 10 years older. How refreshing. They are young yet and marriage is nowhere near a reality but my new favourite Chelsy Davy has clearly been bred for the position should the opportunity present itself. We spent most of the day at Mahiki yesterday on a shoot. Sound familiar? Mahiki is the club where the Princes go - William and Harry and their friends. On a few occasions, the two have even been photographed leaving there looking flushed and rather inebriated.
So now perhaps you have a vision in your mind of what it's like: up to royal standard, swank, chic...
Hella no.
Mahiki is hilarious. Mahiki is tiki. Mahiki is wicker furniture and tacky ass tropical decor and the most ridiculous drinks presented in large ceramics shaped like volcanos and jungle masks with flames coming out the top licking the liquid off the side.
Hilarious. And even more hilarious the clientele - private school boys all of them. With their pinstiped shirts tucked into low rise jeans and flopsy "Hugh Grant" hairstyles drunk of their own sense of entitlement surrounded by young girls trying to land their very own Eton boy.
Love it.
Sadly however...Hot Harry didn't ride up on his horse. Maybe tonight.
It's Tuesday - a thousand apologies. We have a shoot booked in Paris, have to hop on Eurostar at 8am local time, working all day with eTalk, then returning to London in the evening. Will not be able to post.
But just for today. Wednesday will be online all day, blogging all day. At least until the afternoon. First day of Harvey Nic's sale... you understand.
Besides, that piece of scuzz virus gets out today. I'm thinking it's the only thing you'll hear about.

Dear Gossips,
At eTalk, I never ask for assignments. If they send me, it’s cool. If not, it’s cool too. But apart from being a gossip for life, I am above all things a proud Potter-head through and through. And so I begged, begged my producer Laura way back in March for a chance to cover a little bit of Potter-mania leading up the premiere of the fifth movie. When the schedule came out, she put me on it… am now indebted to her for life.
Attended the screening for the OotP on Friday and interviewed the kids on Saturday. Due to a press embargo, I unfortunately cannot say much more about the film beyond this: far, far, far from disappointing. Exhilarating in fact. You will love.
Am still in London, beloved London, shooting all day for eTalk on Monday, posting intermittently.

PS. To Ellie and Hilary – much smutty love for the lovely evening on Saturday. Thank you, love you, owe you. Ended up in Mayfair at a club called the Funky Buddha where blonde girls in casual uniform give massages at the drop of a hat…for a fee, of course. Cheesy and pervy – my favourite combination. Big hug for Kathy and the girls who led me there. Look forward to more wildness Wednesday night.

With only six days to go, the Concert for Diana has received very little play … so far. Now suddenly, the Heir is reportedly back with Kate Middleton and therefore back on the front page. And the event goes down on Sunday. Coincidence… or conspiracy? Apparently the two were making out a party last week, openly on a dance floor and retreating later on to his room. Full Story
