Every year during TIFF, my inbox triples with “sighting” reports (I saw Colin Firth going into my hotel room and he’ll never come out!) or “sighting” requests – where are the stars? Where can I find them? Where should I go?

sightings@laineygossip.com to share with everybody else. If you want to know if Colin Firth is really in my hotel room, come back often. Because for the duration of the Festival, celebrity sightings will be updated in real time on this page, so if Brad Pitt and George Clooney are having a drink at the Windsor Arms, you’ll know about it as it’s happening. If Gerard Butler brings his carb face to the Starbucks right around the corner from where you work, you might be able to see the spittle gather in the corners of his mouth live and in person if you refresh in time to rush downstairs.
Of course I’ll be in Yorkville in the thick of it too and posting as soon as Colin (Firth or Farrell, it really doesn’t matter) and I have tidied up.

~9PM Eastern Tuesday - Benicio Del Torro, George Stroumboulopoulos, Steven Soderbergh "Watched Che Part 1 yesterday night. George Stroumboulopoulos was at the screening. So were Chech and Chong (I never saw them actually talk to each other). Benicio and Steven Soderbergh introduced the movie. Benicio was ‘thicker’ then I imagined. Full Story
~9PM Eastern - Edward Norton,Scott Speedman, and Jason Reitman "Spotted: Edward Norton at the premiere of Pride&Glory - gracious and gorgeous, he is definitely Freebie 5 worthy..." "Spotted: Scott Speedman entering like the common folk into the premiere of Pride&Glory...Canadians are humble people, spotted Jason Reitman doing the same at last night's Nothing But the Truth premiere. 3:40 PM Eastern - Mickey Rourke "I was quickly rushing through the Four Seasons hotel (second floor, above the lobby) this afternoon (around 3:40pm) with a friend of mine when we spotted Mickey Rourke having a sit down chat with a male executive type. Talking about his recently bought film that's slowly picking up Oscar buzz for him? Perhaps. Full Story
12:05 AM Eastern - Ben Barnes and Jessica Biel "I spotted jess and ben coming from the elgin theatre..laughing and walking close by..ben was wearing a tux and jeans..biel a off white dress..they both seem in a hurry." Submitted by Christine S. Full Story
6PM Eastern Monday - Adrien Brody and Jason Reitman "Neither one was in the film Nothing But The Truth, but they both showed up at the Gala last night. Adrien sauntered down the red carpet very early in a brown suede jacket and stopped to chat and take photos with my friend and I (see attached photo). Full Story

~11 AM Eastern Sunday - Colin Firth "I and two lucky girlfriends had brunch on Sunday at noon at Sassafraz. ~9PM Eastern Saturday - Viggo Mortenson "Saturday night, 9pm at the Scotiabank Theatre. I was waiting in line with my friend at cinema 1 and looked up and spotted Viggo right behind my friend being escorted through the masses (who did not realize Viggo was amongst them) into Cinema 4 to see the Danish movie “Fear Me Not”. 11:45 PM Eastern Friday - Zac Efron "I met Zac last night outside of Ki...he was dining with what looked like a manager and two other people. My friends and I didn't recognize him at first but it was him...he looks more human in real life haha. So I ran after him with my camera as they waited for a car/taxi to pick them up. Full Story
~5 PM Eastern - Anne Hathaway "Walked out of Remy's on Yorkville and passed by the back of the Four Seasons. A black SUV pulled up and out strolled Anne Hathaway. Was gracious enough to take a picture with me, even though her publicist was trying to rush here away. Photo attatched. PS No squirrel eyes in person. Full Story

Friday night - Chris Brown "On Friday I was at the Roy Thompson Hall (waiting for Brad Pitt of course!) and after all the stars of The Secret Life of Bees went in, we saw Chris Brown walk up to the door to pick up his tickets.
