You seem to like it so it will continue: more photos of Rafael Nadal at home in Mallorca. Here he is on the green wearing his socks the tennis way but not the golf way. But word is… Rafa is sad. He’s very tight with his family, still lives at home, still sleeps in the same room in his parents’ house (cute!), claims all he ever wants to do is be close to them but now they say his parents are splitting up. Young Rafa is taking it very very hard. Baby needs a virtual hug.

My cousin Cat spent part of the day yesterday texting me about Rafa Nadal. She’s a hardcore tennis fan and has been a hardcore Rafa quiverer forever. Needless to say, Cat was bursting with pride for her boyfriend…along with all of Spain. Rafa returned home today to a hero’s welcome. Full Story

Please would you indulge me a moment? Because I did it.
6 weeks ago I broke my arm. And still my incomparable trainer Hayley McGowan would not let me use the gimpy-ness to get out of Seek the Peak.
So I "seeked" the peak. And it was a bitch. From the beach to the top of a mountain, 16km and 4100 ft of elevation, I stank in ways I never thought possible. At one point there were six cramps pulsing in each buttock at the same time. But Hayley pushed me through. As did the sight of the 70 year old man who blew past us right before we reached the summit. And my good friend Kiu too who signed up in solidarity, just because.
So I can't walk today. But I can blog.
First Euro, now Rafa owns Wimbledon. Nadal vs Casillas - who's in your fantasy bedroom? He looked cute in his tux at the Wimbledon ball, non? As I said a couple of weeks ago, I am a Rafa.

Spain is all the rage. By the way - did you know my Gwyneth spent summers in Spain, did a tour of Spain last summer with Mario Batali, and speaks Spanish?

It was an epic match on what felt like an epic weekend that started off with George Michael in Vancouver. The old girl still has it! My main gay Darren and I, we had the best time, dancing in the aisles for two and a half hours, and then it was off to Stanley Park to see if Georgey might drop in for a late night pick up. Didn’t see him. Maybe he finally bought a computer, discovered the modernity of a chat room to spice up his sex life.
