Love it so much that Adele is on the cover of the new Rolling Stone. But then they decided to mess with her face. I mean… there’s some contouring happening, right?

Tina Fey had a great answer for this in Bossypants. I don’t have it with me this minute so I can’t excerpt it for you here but she was basically like, whatever, I pose for them, and then they go off and do whatever it is that they do, and everybody knows it anyway, it’s like we’re all experts at identifying photoshop and nobody actually believes I look like that so it just makes the magazine look stupid. At least that’s how I read it.

In Adele’s case though, the digital adjustment is that much more obvious because during the interview she makes a point of saying that she’s not interested in looking like a generic ripped pop star:

“My life is full of drama and I won't have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don't like going to the gym. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don't think I'd get my t**s and a** out for no one. I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum. Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.”

Anyway, the entire article is great but I particularly like the part when she talks about meeting Beyonce. And then, inspired by Beyonce, she gave herself her very own alter ego:

“I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, ‘You’re amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to God. I went out on the balcony crying hysterically, and I said, ‘What would Sasha Fierce do?’ That’s when Sasha Carter was born.'”

Cute right? And amazing that Beysus is a fan of the Adele. Click here for more on Adele in Rolling Stone.

And did you know she’s the first artist this year to go platinum in the US?
