Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender were out together on Saturday night before the BAFTAs. Here they are leaving the party at 2am. They were also seated together during the BAFTAs proper, as they were both nominated. But they did not walk the carpet together. Michael walked with Kate Winslet, his co-star in Steve Jobs, while Alicia posed alone.

During the show, and the kiss cam bit – see Leo post here for reference – the camera landed on them. And they refused to do it, making for an awkward moment that was eventually cut from the broadcast.

Well, I guess they’re consistent? I mean if you’re not doing the carpet together, you’re certainly not kissing on television. And they’re not kissing on television because they don’t want to make their relationship a thing for public consumption. Everyone else who kissed was for jokes. As far as I know, they were the only two who were singled out as a legit couple. So I can understand why they wouldn’t want to give the internet that GIF. Which doesn’t bother me in them the way it bothers me with others. Like he’s not booking it down the block to avoid photographers, ahem, Chris Martin. Does it bother you?
