This is a beauty post, not a dirty post, just so we’re clear.
Amal Clooney, accompanied by her mother, Baria Alamuddin, was at Charlotte Tilbury’s flagship opening and Christmas party last night in London. She wore silver vintage Lanvin. It’s the perfect holiday party outfit. I love it.
Charlotte Tilbury was Amal’s makeup artist for her wedding and for the MET Gala and most of her other red carpet appearances. Charlotte’s pretty much worked on everyone. She perfected Kate Moss’s cat eye. She’s had JLO in her chair. Naomi Campbell, Penelope Cruz, Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna. If it’s a face, chances are Charlotte’s done it.
Charlotte came on The Social earlier this year to promote her line of makeup and beauty products. She packages some of her top looks in complete sets. The two she chose for me were The Rock Chick and The Dolce Vita. I’m obsessed with the eye shadows.
But what I’m most obsessed with is Charlotte’s Magic Cream. Before you start yelling, I know, it’s not cheap. However, it’s also the product most of her celebrity clients can’t get enough of. Because it creates this, I don’t know, the only way to describe it is a glow, this glow that, under makeup, is amazingly effective on me. When I combine it with a sheet mask the night before, it’s even crazier. I use mine sparingly though, not every day, only for big moments and important shows when I am more vain than usual. FYI: My skin is oily. Like even my eyelids are oily. So I don’t know how it works on people with dry skin but it’s not a light lotion either.
