Andrew Garfield was photographed on his scooter the other day. The agency says he was "leaving Emma Stone's hotel and heading to a studio". I love him a lot right now. I love him so much I rewatched Never Let Me Go on the plane the other day on the way back from Toronto. I liked the way he tried to cover his face, writhing around underneath Keira Knightley when she was riding him. Then I wondered if there's something wrong with me. But he is SO cute. Not conventionally, empirically goodlooking, no, but such an interesting face. And a good way with clothes. Maybe it all just goes back to when I saw him at Comic-Con wearing the sh-t out of his jeans. Maybe it's because I just want to see him and Emma holding hands. What a weird and perverse desire. And while few people would be willing to admit it, that doesn't mean I'm alone in the imagining of it. Is Wishful Voyeurism acceptable so long as it's not actioned? Or is it f-cked up, whether or not you get up on the telescope and spy on their sh-t?

Anyway, obviously, Andrew and Emma are happening, but they've been careful to make sure we can't see it. There was no way then that he would show last night at the LA premiere of The Help. Will you see The Help this weekend? I wasn't particularly jizzy about seeing it right away but then I just read and heard some really great reviews for Viola Davis, who some say could win an Oscar on the strength of this performance, and now I feel a little more of a boner. Maybe it could be one of those movies that's better than the book. Maybe it's not just a Nora Ephron exercise.
