The video for Arcade Fire’s We Exist has now been released starring Andrew Garfield in what may be one of the finest performances of his career. To me, it’s what he’s saying to me as he’s dancing. Dancing by himself. Like totally …abandoned. Completely unselfconsciously. In these moments, he’s not Peter Parker, he’s not even Andrew Garfield. He’s a person who’s struggling with acceptance, fighting to be seen, fighting to be loved. By himself, first.
The final moments of the video were shot at Coachella, live, last month. Also, this is why he buzzed his head.
