The Academy didn’t care for Unbroken. But Angelina Jolie would probably say that her Oscar moment of 2015 happened on Saturday night at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards where she was joined by daughters Zahara and Shiloh. The Jolie won Best Villain for her performance as Maleficent.
And her kids were THRILLED.
I mean look at this reaction.
What cracks me up about it is that, of course, the truth is Angelina Jolie doesn’t show up at the Kids’ Choice Awards if Angelina Jolie doesn’t know that Angelina Jolie is going to win. But that’s the beauty of it. When you’re 10 and 8, you don’t know that sh-t. Not even when your parents are the Brange. Not even when photographers follow you and take your picture wherever you go. Somehow these kids can still be surprised. They can still sit in an audience with the purest of hopes. Hope for Team Mom.
