All three were at the American Museum of Natural History 2010 Gala last night in New York. Hathaway is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. Smart of her to be around Fey and Wiig, soak up as much funny as she can. Steal some if she has to. Because Jesus the SNLs have been hurting. Even Jon Hamm’s wasn’t that great. All season it’s been mostly sh-t.

But Anne was great last time around. And I have SNL amnesia. By Tuesday I am always looking forward, even hopefully, to the next. Tuesday is also the day they get to work on the show. Maybe I’ve been overprogrammed. Anyway, LOVE Annie’s dress. SO much. But I don’t know why she’s wearing graduation ceremony shoes. Right? Those are the shoes you see under their robes, when they’re going up to get their diplomas.

As for Tina’s PBS censoring drama from her Mark Twain Award speech – click here for the background. If you missed it, here’s what they aired:

"I would be a liar and an idiot if I didn't thank Sarah Palin for helping get me here tonight. My partial resemblance and her crazy voice are the two luckiest things that ever happened to me. All kidding aside, I'm so proud to represent American humor, I am proud to be an American, and I am proud to make my home in the 'not real' America. And I am most proud that during trying times, like an orange [terror] alert, a bad economy or a contentious election that we as a nation retain our sense of humor."

Here’s what they cut:

"And, you know, politics aside, the success of Sarah Palin and women like her is good for all women - except, of course –those who will end up, you know, like, paying for their own rape 'kit 'n' stuff, but for everybody else, it's a win-win. Unless you're a gay woman who wants to marry your partner of 20 years - whatever. But for most women, the success of conservative women is good for all of us. Unless you believe in evolution. You know - actually, I take it back. The whole thing's a disaster."

Some say it was a conservative conspiracy, that PBS didn’t want their funding to get cut and therefore edited out Tina’s Sarah Palin swipe only to leave in the most placating – and innocuous – part of her acceptance. PBS insists it was a time issue. That everyone got cut. Here’s the thing, no matter what side you stand on, she was The Honouree of the night. Like... everyone was there FOR HER.

So if it’s a time issue, why no cut everyone else and leave her sh-t intact? She’s the one getting the goddamn award!
