Ben Affleck was on Jimmy Fallon last night because there’s a movie coming out next week called Runner, Runner. That’s a hard sell, Bruce Wayne. Which is why he’s bringing out the family stories, the baby stories. Samuel’s the kid from Parenthood (the movie) who keeps bashing his head into walls. His girls read and write and invent and are amazing. And, of course, the Batman.
Sh-t, Batman not only has to promote Superman these days, he also has to work on Justin Timberlake. He’s doing it by addressing the hate. You know the hate. Ben took some hate when it was announced that he would be Batman. He decided to check out some of the hate at the request of the studio because they wanted to prepare him for the fan reaction. No better place to see the hate than online. Ben says he was all for it:
“I’m a big boy. If I can handle an Oscar snub, I can handle anything.”
Ha.
It’s way easier to bring up an Oscar snub when it wasn’t really one, isn’t it?
No, no, let’s not do that. He does well here. At least from this clip, he does very well to distract me from Runner, Runner. And frankly I’m good with having seen him like this, I’ve no desire to go looking for his remarks on that other movie. Now is that a good job or a bad job?
