PEOPLE has named Beyonce the Most Beautiful Woman to cover their 2012 issue. Last year it was Jennifer Lopez. But it’s an easy choice, non?

Beyonce IS indeed beautiful.

Beyonce also just had a Blue Ivy Carter.

So you get an exclusive interview out of the selection and all kinds of gushing about the wonderfulness of motherhood. Like this:

"I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."

I wonder if this gets updated to the Tumblr. There are a couple of new photos on the Tumblr by the way if you’ve not had time to check it the last couple of days. I’ve set myself a calendar reminder to do this 3 times a week now. What?

Here’s my favourite quote from Beyonce’s Most Beautiful feature:

"The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy. The word 'love' means something completely different now."

There’s a special kind of narcissist who can refer to her child as a “legacy” without choking on her ego. This is the same person who, in the next breath, can very easily and comfortably talk about how “humble” she is, and actually believe it. This is why you appreciate Beyonce for Beyonce. While the rest of them are out there trying to cover up and make up for their lifelong insecurities, Beyonce is one of the few artists who is genuinely confident and conceited and has never been anything other.

Click here to see more of Beysus as the Most Beautiful along with PEOPLE’s other selections including Lily Collins whose photo is my favourite, favourite, favourite of all of them. She looks like she’s wearing almost no makeup, nothing on her lips, and those eyebrows are front and centre. Like, I get it if the eyebrow thing is not your thing, that’s fine. They’re not my thing because I would look hideous. But they’re hers and on her they are beautiful. Really beautiful.
