Beyonce’s been busy on Instagram today. As mentioned earlier, she posted several pictures of her with Solange this morning – click here for a refresher. And 45 minutes ago (it’s 11am ET right now), she posted a shot with Rihanna at the MET Gala. Perhaps in response to the fact that it was reported that Solange freaked out because Jay wanted to go to Rihanna’s after-party and Beyonce wasn’t coming…?
These are a lot of messages. Great. More for us to discuss, dissect, obsess.
But from her point of view, a message is only effective if it lands the way she wants it to land. And, well, some of it is landing on the side of desperation. B is, like, God. She’s supposed to be able to rise above all this sh-t. She’s supposed to be unbothered. She’s supposed to be untouchable.
Now?
It’s like she’s desperately trying to seal up all the cracks, one after another, and the water it just keeps rising and rising and instead of just floating on top of it, she keeps resisting, and the more she resists, the deeper she sinks.
I think it might be time for another documentary. She can interview herself about how this messed with her spirit and how the light led her out of it.
