This is what her parents are saying.

Beyonce and Jay-Z released their official Birth of the Throne announcement yesterday as follows:

"We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful – we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs. It was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support."

This is how Gwyneth Paltrow would have wanted it, you know?

But wait...

Back up...

As many of you, and many others online, have already pointed out:

Let’s add up January 7, 2012.

1(January) + 7 + 20 + 12 = 40

You know Jay’s club is called 40/40, right?

Or...

4 + 0 = 4

Their favourite number.

Coincidence or conspiracy?

You’re telling me, with all their devotion to the number 4, that our new Lord and Saviour just happened to COME OUT NATURALLY and not by c-section on January 7, 2012?

Well, she really is a Child of Destiny then, isn’t she?

As for the reports that the B.I.C. cockblocked other parents from seeing their own babies, Lenox Hill Hospital denies that any such incident went down:

"We have made every effort to ensure minimal disruption to other families experiencing the births of their own children over the past three days. No security plan that we or the Carters' security team put in place would have prevented or delayed families from gaining access to the NICU, and to date, no families have complained to the hospital about being denied access to the NICU."

Please.

Between the surrogate rumours, the pillow watch, Tiana May, numerology, and the civilian drama this child has already inspired, she could have her own episode of E! True Hollywood Story before she’s even a week old. WELL before Dembabies. As Mimi throws herself into the path of a golf cart to try and steal a headline.

As for when we’ll actually get to SEE Blue Ivy...

They say the price of the first photo just went up to half a million dollars, considering the international interest that Beyonce and Jay-Z attract. Still not as much as the Brange but certainly among the top names. Janice Min seems to believe however that they won’t sell, that that’s not their style. (Source)

Fine then. Don’t sell. But how about front row at the Grammys? Here’s a fun game I’ve been playing with my friend Trish all day:

Who would you toss back into the second row in favour of the B.I.C.’s front row seat at the Grammys?

Taylor Swift?

Justin Bieber?

Kanye West?

Me, I say Chris Brown.
