Daniel Day-Lewis was in Madrid yesterday promoting Lincoln in a peacoat and scarf. Judging from your email and tweets, you really enjoyed this, as did I.
Bradley Cooper was also in Madrid yesterday, also in a scarf. As you know, Coop has been nominated alongside DDL for a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in Silver Linings Playbook. What a great honour. And it should be enough, simply to have your name next to the great DDL’s. I wonder though if Coop is the Jonah Hill of 2013. Remember when Jonah actually thought he had a chance against Christopher Plummer last year? And couldn’t hide the disappointment on his face?
On acting and on coat and scarf-ing, DDL has more than an edge. If Coop were to throw down some Spanish though, the way he does, occasionally, in French, would you feel any differently?
