I’m not as offended by this as I was by that tacky blue dress she wore to the SAGs – click here for a refresher. The skirt is great. The top, however, is not my favourite, these drop-breast blouses. Also the shoes are wrong, right?
And yet… none of it is wrong.
Because It Girls don’t win Oscars by being stylish. They win Oscars by showing Academy members that they’re their granddaughters – pink and proper and not too sexy and not too trendy and dressed appropriately for Sunday dinner.
