Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford flew out of LAX yesterday. Mumford & Sons played the Hollywood Bowl the night before. Carey isn't working on anything right now after wrapping Gatsby and the Coen Bros movie. It's new bride down time and she's presumably spending it on the road with her husband. And growing out her hair...? She's very blonde right now.
Carey won't have to start promoting The Great Gatsby 3D until well into the new year. Her next project is a film based on a true story called Hold On To Me about a woman with sh-t life prospects who kidnaps a rich dude but, being the mess that she is, f-cks up the entire plan. Robert Pattinson has a supporting role. It sounds like they're still putting together the financing. Hopefully not a hard sell. We need more of these projects built entirely around female-driven narratives.
