Carrie Underwood performed at 2011 Stagecoach: California’s Country Music Festival yesterday. According to her website she’s not taking the stage again until June. Which means she should be free to be back in Nashville tomorrow night when the Canucks play the Predators in Game 3 of Round 2 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The series is tied 1-1.

I flew back to Vancouver early on Saturday morning to go to the game. Dead tired. And motherf-cker it went into double overtime only to see the Canucks lose. SO pissed. Here’s the thing about that team: they don’t really have any lights out talent (other than on D). They just roll four lines hard in a system. The players they’re committed. They grind, they compete, they do not let up. And they have a goaltender who is standing on his goddamn head. That’s a dangerous combination. That’s the kind of team that is all kinds of trouble.

The Canucks better get their sh-t together. The Sedins better get their sh-t together. Because nothing would bite my ass more than if Country B were to cheer her team on to the conference finals. Are you feeling me Ottawa? You should be. You’re for the Canucks then, right?
