Doug Elin, the director of Entourage, also directed David Schwimmer’s Kissing a Fool. In 2015, he gave an interview to GQ and said that he was crushed that Ebert gave him a “thumbs down”. He “wanted to kill Ebert.” I miss him. (Ebert, not Doug Elin and his sh-tty movies.)

Harris Wittels was the comedy writer behind many of our favourite shows of the last 5 years (like Parks & Rec and Master of None). I’ve read this article twice – it isn’t so much a tribute as it is a thoughtful look at a complicated, immensely talented guy.
