Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are working on the film version of 21 Jump Street which... I don’t know how I feel about this. Is Channing Tatum supposed to be Johnny Depp? Admittedly, I’ve not endeavoured to find out too much about the project because...well... like you’re asking me to research a Channing Tatum movie? Really?
Anyway, here they are shooting a scene that involves white tuxedos. Tatum’s image, as you know, is that he’s supposed to be some kind of stud. With his shirt off...fine. But to me, it’s way way WAY hotter when a man can work a good suit. I’m just not feeling him in this suit. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in a suit and said to myself, goddamn that chromagnum cleans up NICE!
Am I unfairly biased? Have I never really given him a chance? I did like him in Step Up. But that could also be because I like any high school dance movie that involves romance from the wrong side of the tracks and a big final number. Sasha too. Sasha’s other weakness is a sappy love story. So of course she watched Dear John and was moved. And of course she’ll watch The Vow and be moved too.
Have you seen the trailer? It’s below. Don’t lie. You’re going to go, and you’re going to cry. Really really really hard. I might too. You know why? It’s Rachel McAdams’s face. She’s so good at that. At making her big eyes well up and taking you with her.
