Hayden Panettiere has red hair now. You can’t see it very well as she had it pulled back at the premiere of Temple Grandin in New York last night but it’s there, it’s dark, and she looks washed out. The dress doesn’t help either. Not the best choice, right? Lolita is only 20, was easily one of the youngest, if not the youngest, on the carpet. She totally fit in with all the middle aged folks. And this serves her well. As you know, Lo likes ‘em older. Milo was much older, and the latest, a boxer called Wladimir Klitschko, with whom she spent New Year’s in Miami, holed up for weeks at their hotel, is 33. He’s also 6 ft 6 to her 5 ft 1. I’ve always wondered how that works. This is not perverted.

Anyway, about Temple Grandin, the HBO biopic about the autism activist premieres on February 6. Have you read Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time? Chances are you have. I finished that book and ended up researching Asperger Syndrome some more and then at a friend’s recommendation read Temple Grandin’s Thinking in Pictures: and Other Reports from My Life with Autism. Since I love dogs, of course I had to read her Animals Make Us Human last year, and her latest Making Animals Happy is due out soon…

She’s amazing. And I cannot wait to see this movie. HBO doesn’t usually f-ck up their movies. By the looks of it, Claire Danes is contending for an Emmy and a Globe and a SAG next year. The trailer is below. But if you haven’t already, I also recommend the BBC doc on Grandin, The Woman Who Thinks Like a Cow. SO GOOD.
