Blake & Ryan’s double date…with maybe Leo???
Leonardo DiCaprio was at the amfAR gala in New York last night. So were Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. You remember Blake and Leo though, right?
It was an entire summer of How Did She DO that? God I loved that summer. Click here for a refresher or you can revisit these photos below, of Blake and Leo in Verona, where we lay our scene…
And somehow she got him to take pictures…on his knees:
That was May/June 2011. Two months later they were still together, spotted together in Santa Barbara. In August 2011, they were bike riding in New York (with Lukas Haas).
At the end of August 2011, Leo was shooting The Great Gatsby in Australia. Blake flew there to visit him. That’s the last time they were together. Because in October 2011, she was with Ryan Reynolds, seen leaving his apartment in Boston where he was working on a movie. Pay attention to that timeline. Because Ryan is on the cover of the new PEOPLE as the Sexiest Dad Alive and he’s talking about how their relationship started – and that’s not personal or private, at all, by the way.
"About a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and we were both single we went on a double date – she was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl – and it was like the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across."
Blake and Ryan were in production for Green Lantern in the spring of 2010. At the time, he was still married to Scarlett Johansson and she was still dating Penn Badgley. Green Lantern premiered June 2011. Blake was already hanging out with Leo by then. She’d just been in Europe with him – see above.
She and Leo continued through the summer.
So… this double date…
Was Leo her date on this double date with Ryan? Was Leo the one sitting there while Blake and Ryan were sparking? Did Leo have to awkwardly watch Blake and Ryan eye-f-cking each other across the table? Can you imagine?
How did she DO that?
