It’s official. Drake’s JUNOs were the most watched on record – some 7.6 Canadians tuned it at one point or another during the telecast with an average of 2.4 million viewers peaking at over 3 million during Shania Twain’s acceptance speech when she was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. So there was a lot to celebrate that night.

Drake celebrated at MUZIK. No secret, that was his afterparty. And, after the performance he delivered hosting the show, he deserved all the dick-sucking everyone was giving him that night. Um, Rihanna? Were you impressed???

I just watched the show again last night in the comfort of my home as I was in the middle of a crowded room with people yelling when it was initially broadcast. This is not just a home team situation. He did an amazing job. Even Billboard was watching, noting that Drake "proved a solid emcee, with equal amounts of respect, well-timed jokes and pre-planned bits." (Source)

Anyway, here are some pictures from his party. Yes, that’s Shane West and Julie Cooper aka Melinda Clarke. Random. Also, I wasn’t able to post the full open from the JUNOs the other day with Lloyd Robertson so here it is below.

The assistant dude at the beginning is apparently one of his best friends. He was one of the writers for the show. Drizzy hooks up his crew.

PS. My low classy hot pink GOOP inspired feather earrings were approved in the end! Here they are on the JUNO Awards red carpet with etalk hosts Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim.
