Doubtful...or possible?

The Royal Couple will be in Quebec, stopping for a short few hours in Montreal on July 2nd. They’ll visit with young cancer patients at Saint-Justine Hospital and then hang out with some novice chefs at a cooking class. Those kids have the honour of serving dinner to Will and Kate that night. Can you imagine how they must be feeling right now?

Anyway, Ellen Page is also in Montreal. She was spotted there yesterday with actress Clea Duvall doing some shopping and sightseeing. Needless to say, as mentioned earlier, I can’t imagine they’d stand among the crowds with their royal flags and place settings weeping as the royal motorcade drives by. But then again, if it’s one thing I like about Ellen it’s that she can surprise you. And if she did end up lining the road waiting for a glimpse of the Cambridges, I’d love to hear her tell that story.

Ellen is taking some time off before heading back to work next month in Rome for Woody Allen’s new feature The Bop Decameron. It’s an impressive cast that includes Allen himself, Alec Baldwin, Jessie Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig, Roberto Benigni, and Penelope Cruz. Looks like Allen’s tour of Europe continues.

By the way, have you seen Midnight in Paris? It’s his most successful film in years. I screened it a while ago but my friend Lorella went last night and loved it. The reviews have been spectacular. If you haven’t then, you might want to this weekend in lieu of Larry Crowne.
